"Evan look! What I have found!" Rebecca called her guy standing within the boundary.
"See the Flower of Peace. I have heard about it only in stories. It's so blissful to see it for real. If this boundary wouldn't have existed, I would have got it back to where it belongs" she stared at the peaceful thing with her glittering eyes.
With a positivity she whispered, "The masses of Hell haven't revered anything Good, then what made them take away this sacred flower from us! It belongs here. I believe it will return to its original place one day."
The boundary is just a word being mentioned to emphasize on the division between the two lands. Literally it was an invisible force, an unseen power with split the two.
It wasn't a meager demarcation but the one drawn to divide the Hell and the Heaven, the line which separated the Good and The Evil.
Anybody from the respective lands daring to cross the border had to go through a ruthless punishment.
Rebecca owned a petite figure blessed with an angelic face. Her eyes had Evan's world in them. Her dark thick round eyebrows gave an inhuman beauty to her face. Her straight hair strands moved with the wind and perfectly decorated her cheecks.
Before Rebecca could realize what was about to happen, she saw him endeavoring to cross the margin.
"Evan , come back. What are you doing there?" she restricted her voice to be a whisper but audible enough for him to heed it.
Without being ruled by Rebecca's words, Evan moved his hands towards the flower leaving a little distance between the gentle flower and his skin.
"Don't! It's forbidden! Let's get back to the palace." she tried her best to obstruct him.
Bending down he attempted to pluck that flower. The moment his skin touched the sacred flower, little did he know that this contact would lead to commence the Great War between the two lands and make him turned forever.
Well, the "Forever" term does make a place here or not, relied upon his lady love Rebecca.
Holding the flower he smiled at Rebecca from the other side. She saw him smile showcasing his achievement.
"Leave it there. I beg, Evan just return" she kept on urging him to get back from that place while he still smiled at her, holding the flower.
"See I am back." Evan responded.
"They aren't going to spare us for this, they will....." she sobbed.
She was stunned to see that object in his hand reminding her of a past incident.
Pushing him away she said, "I told you..... I warned you.... Why don't you ever listen? Is it always essential to behave so childish and especially in matters like these? You know how unsafe it is! You know how they are! They'll come after you....They already took my brother, now what if something happens to you?"
She knew them and was aware of their behavior as she had experienced this before. She feared that the same thing would repeat.
Turning back she said in a low voice," They took my brother. What if they take you! I lost hm. I can't lose you now!"
With every questions she kept asking herself.....with every incident that flashed back in her mind, tears rolled down her baby like cheeks making them shine brighter. Her fragile petite body shivered with every passing minute.
Evan pulled her closer holding her waist," Fear is a beast that feeds on attention. Think the other way. I'll hand over this flower to your father. He'll get impressed and give your hands to me. We'll get married!"
"You think it's that easy! They didn't leave my brother. He was a child and what makes you think they'll not do the same to you!" she released her from his grip.
"See, I'm all fine, all good. I'm standing here in front of you. Nothing has happened. Let's go to our palace. I'm sure everyone will be delighted to have this flower back to our place. They took it from us and we got it back. So everything is kind of balanced now. I won't leave you ever.....I promise." He said planting a kiss on her forehead.
Holding hands they moved on.
"Wait. Did you hear that?" Rebecca gasped all of a sudden.
"What?" Evan couldn't hear anything.
The sound alarmed her of their arrival. Slowly with every second it became loud to her ears. The galloping of the horses.....the clanking of the swords, all became aural to her.
"Run!" Rebecca whispered to Evan. She made the grip on his hand strong.
Holding hands they increased their pace as much as they could. The craving to run escape fast was much more in Rebecca than that of in Evan. Mixed up emotions of fear and disappointment arose in her heart. The terror of loosing another being in her life enabled her petite body to run faster.
No matter how much we try or put on effort to do something, but if luck has to go some other way, it's too uneasy to go against it.
The horsemen with masked faces, covered in entire black attire, with swords in their hands, were so close to them that by just moving their hand they could catch Evan.
Rebecca, with her rigorous efforts maintained her speed.
One of them, from the other side caught Evan by his neck making him slow down.
"Leave him!" she shouted. She tried to hold him but her small and fragile body wasn't enough to overpower the horseman's. They tied him with the horse and turned back. Evan screamed her name as his tall body was moving on the ground.
She cried, sobbed and sat down broken. Soon his scream became low as they took him far away from his place, from his Rebecca. Her voice seemed harsh by the force she had put on it. Her legs trembled and she fell on the ground. Burying her wet face in her hands she wept at another loss of her. She sobbed fearing this incident to be the 'Last Goodbye'.
