"It's a false alert guys," Dorris said. "She gers a free day, just like you guys did," Dorris said. "Oh okay," Everyone said. "Go back up and finish breakfast," Dorris said.
Everyone went back upstairs. "Before you leave come to my office," Dorris said. "Alright," I said while following her. We reached her office. Inside looked weird. There was a turtle shell on her desk and what looked like cats furs on her walls.
"Before you leave I wanna give you some money," Dorris said. "Oh okay," I said looking around. "Aren't you fascinated," Dorris said? "Ye-yeah," I said. "Well here is your money come back before a 11:30," Dorris said. "Okay well thanks," I said.
She handed me the money and I left. When I reached the door I heard a click. I pushed against the door. It opened without the alarm. I squinted my eyes from how bright the sun was. It was so dim in the adoption center.
I grabbed my phone. "Crap," I mumbled. I forgot my earbuds. I put my phone in my back pocket. I started walking. I looked at the money I'm my hand. "54 dollars," I said.
All of a sudden I fell. I looked up. There was a guy with light brown eyes. "Omg, I am so sorry," He said. "It's fine," I said. He handed me his hand. I didn't go for it. He then helped me up. "How can I repay that for you," he asked? "It's fine, I'll be fine," I said. "No, it's not let's go to the mall and get some Starbucks," he said.
We started walking. We finally reached it. "Hello, how may I help you?" The casher asked. "Um, hi I would like just a plan black coffee, and she would like," he said. He turned around and look at me. "What do you want?" He asked. "Um, I guess just a French vanilla ice coffee, hold the sugar," I said.
"And she would like a French Vanilla ice coffee, hold the sugar," he said. "Okay, $14.76," she said. "I grabbed for my wallet. "No, put it back in." He said. "No, I can pay for my own," I said. "No," he got his wallet out. Layed $15 and said "Keep the change," he said. "Okay thank you sir, you're number 68," She said. " Your welcome and thank you," we walked off.
"You didn't have to do that," I said. "Well I did," he said. "Well, thank you," I said. "Your welcome," He said. I can't believe I'm actually letting a stranger take me to a mall and buy me Starbucks how stupid am I?
