A rant about Christmas adverts

Christmas adverts have really become one of the most poison and easiest ways of making money for marketers such as Morrison. Their most manipulative scheming way of attracting customers! “The heart-warming seasonal advert pinning your eyes to screen” Snap out of it!

Just as watching the two and a half minute clip of Marks and Spencer’s TV ad of a model falling through a drain and discovering a world of adventures wasn’t magical enough. Pfftt! Instead of celebrating baby Jesus' birthday, Marks and Spencer appear to be advertising their clothing line while travelling to wonderland and the world of OZ style of scenario. They even have their models advertising lingerie while flying on a carpet with Aladdin. What an ironic fantasy story they seem to be enjoying telling their audience about.

The only idiots that are drooling over their TV screen are also the gullible spenders that think would look half good as the models in the advert- Kerching! Note should be taken by M&S as they’re bizarre way of money-making is also making youths more self-conscious.  Marks and Spencer should be ashamed of themselves as they have sexualised the non-fiction children stories.  This advert is also appears during the daytime which children are able to watch and it’s not a good sight for them. Moreover M&S’s sexist advert that does not really reflect the chilling season. Not once but twice in just in short amount of time M&S strip down the model to her undergarments.

The tumble that seems to help the model dress in a variety of outfits, like any of youse would be able to pull of those outfits.  The twinkling music at the background adds softness to the advert which you twats end up having your heart melted by.  Instead of wasting your time watching a cheesy add for Christmas you could have done a lot more like donating money to charity perhaps. But no, you’d rather watch a fairy tale story in around 2 minutes.  A world of wonders this advert really is! Dozens of money spent on advertising and famous faces, when all that money of really been spent on the quality of their products. The monstrous amount of money spent on these Christmas adverts are horrific as they could have been used for a better cause such donating money to a homeless shelter.

Don’t you understand how this advert is a false representation of M&S and how you’re making it easy for M&S to produce a profit for their company? All you spenders out there should really have a go at thinking before buying something that is not even worth it to look at. Why desire on something that you would never imagine yourself in.

Why do people get all gooey about Christmas ads like they are amazing works of art, rather than a simple advert, designed to manipulate you into buying stuff? Honestly, if you find yourself feeling overwhelm after watching an advert, just give up on life. It’s just one of their marketing strategies really! Nothing really says Merry Christmas like a model in her underwear and a puppy.
