Oh man, this was a full chapter. Getting everything down just right and the emotions balanced out up until the end was a task. It took a while and the Writers' Block didn't help but I think I finally got it :)

::CHAPTER 32::
{ThirdPerson POV}
Ria smoothed out her costume now that Alejo had had a man take her coat. She felt a tad naked under the sparse, flowing material but she ignored that. It was gorgeous, it fit the character of the play perfectly in an ironic sort of way and she’d already gotten four compliments on it. More than one Master and Mistress commented on how curious they were about her part in the show now that they’d seen her in wardrobe and makeup.
People complimented Alejo on his selection of Pet. They fawned over her and marveled at her talent of choice for the night. Some wanted to know everything about her and others tried to get information on Alejo. She sent those particular ones away with a polite tone and a scathing remark. Her big blue eyes and tiny frame made her an easy target for those thinking to take advantage of her. They did not expect the pretty actress and dancer who resembled a doll and had faultless manners to say the things she said.
No one expected her to have a wit sharp and brutal enough to cut a person down to size. Many backed off, but some loved the challenge of her. That fiery tongue became a thing of rumor throughout the building only two hours into the event. Many wanted to try their hand and to hear the Pet of Alejo Veracci use that clever whip of a tongue.
Alejo was with her often, but he didn’t make it a habit of dragging her along with him wherever he went. He trusted that she could handle herself fine without him. He knew she was no damsel and he also knew that if she could handle him, she could handle anyone.
Still, he didn’t see the harm in keeping an eye out just in case. There was always the one asshole who might toe the line. He was happy to note that she was handling herself with as much grace and venom as he would expect of her.
“Ahh, yes. I see now what has your attention,” the Mistress speaking with him chuckled, “Your charming new Pet. I’ve spoken with her already.”
“Have you?” he turned back to the immortal, “How did that go?”
“She’s got quite a mouth on her,” the woman sniffed but there was a quirk to her lips as if she secretly didn’t mind, “That girl of yours is something else indeed.”
“She’s got a mind of her own. Not afraid to make that clear either.”
“That I’ve noticed. Not like most Pets. There’s not a subservient bone in her body.”
“Not a single one. But she can be a good girl when it suits her,” he smiled at the memory of their playing earlier.
“And that hair. That skin,” she went on, “Many of the Masters and Mistresses already covet it for their own Pets.”
“I expect they do the same with my brother’s Pet,” he nodded, “They are siblings you know. Same red hair and freckles.”
“Oh are they? How delightful!” she scanned the room for Ana, “I absolutely loathe you both for snagging the pair.”
“I don’t doubt it,” he smiled.
Nodding his goodbye, he left as Ria began speaking with yet another Pet. He was a pretty one of the auburn haired, dark eyed and high cheekboned variety. His smile was the sort one practiced in the mirror when trying to perfect it and his laugh carried to anyone within shouting distance.
