The Poem of Anna Korlov

Anna was a nice girl

Sent the nice boys a whirl

Dressed nicely one very special day

But something very awful stood in her way

Went without her coat

Was cut at her throat

Ear to ear the wound stretched

Now that nice girl is very wretched

Down, she must go.

Down, without a show.

Twenty seven teenagers dead

Nothing to show except a head.

Cas, a brave teenage boy

Dares to foil Anna's ploy.

Down, she'll go.

Down, he'll throw.

Anna won't stand anymore.

Anna won't throw bodies to the floor.

What will happen when they meet?

Will he fall to his feet?

Mercy, she gives.

Cas still lives.

But why does Anna change her mind?

Why does Cas she not blind?

Read the book and you'll see

Something amazing, between you and me.

This was based off the book Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. It's really good and as you can see, I do work in poetry sometimes. I hope you liked it!
