Today I get assigned a person to help on earth,
We don't pick who we want to be with,

if that was the case we would all end up with our soulmate,
but sadly that's not the case,

Most of us won't meet our soulmate's for several years,
We know who are soulmate is by looking in to there eyes.

It's rare for you to be assigned to a soulmate,
So rare the last time it happened was over ten centuries ago,
I think the humans even know of the story,

I think they called it the story of the moon,
Or something dumb like that,

But let me tell you the story anyway,

The sun was always alone, and sad sure he had the stars,
But he felt empty and lonely, for a very long time,

That is until he saw the most breathtaking and beautiful creature,
He'd ever seen, she was called the moon,

The moon stayed in the dark always hiding in the shadows
She was never happy, she needed something more in her life,
She wanted more, one day she saw the sun,

With time they fell in love with each other,
And they each became what the other needed,
But it was a hopeless love, that was doomed from the start,
For if they would touch just once, they would both die,

The sun and Moon still see each other everyday,
and every night the sun dies so that the moon can live.

Sad story I know, but it's true.

I was next to be assigned a person,
They trained us what to do, we just stay and fix whatever problem they have then come back, simple as that.

If for whatever reason we want to stay,
we can but most don't.

Haliee you are assigned to Madison,
Go to the gate now. They said.

I walk to the gate and wait till I have to jump.

I look around, I'm at the school already ?
Oh well I guess I'm a teacher ?

Well I assume that I have to sign in,
I walk in the school to see a lady behind a desk.

Excuse me, but could please tell me where my class room is ? I asked her with a smile.

Yes ma'am I just need your name dear ? She said sweetly.

Haliee. I said.

Ah, the new art teacher Ms rose, nice to meet you my name's Rachel if you would just follow me,
I'll show you, what room your in. She said.

As we walked in I see a beautiful woman with red hair,
When she truned around my eyes widened in shock,
and disbelief, as our eyes locked.

not only is she my assigned person,
but she's my soulmate.
