*Cassie's P.O.V*
"GET OFF ME" I scream at Carl as he drags me away from the house where Ethan body now lays
"Cass, we can't," Carl tells me trying to plead with me
"I am not going back to that camp, I can't not with my father being there," I tell him holding onto my wound.
The only thing I could feel right now was the pain, sadness, depression, hatred, unloved, and all I wanted to do at this point was die. My best friend was no longer living or breathing. He was all I had left in this world that I knew who would love me forever. Yes, of course, he had problems but he could've been helped.
"Cassie," Carl says snapping his fingers in front of my face.
"I don't feel well" I whisper to him before I black out from all the blood that I had lost.
*Carl's P.O.V*
"You have to stay awake" I scream to Cassie trying to plead with her to wake up.
"Carl. I am alright" Cassie whispers and her face was blue and bloody.
"You can't die on me" I whisper her putting pressure on her wound.
"I won't" Cassie whisper and gives me a smile
"We have to get stitch it up" Cassie whispers as she puts her hands on my face rubbing it.
"I have nothing to fix you with," I tell her
"I do" Cassie whispers she continues to go in and out of consciousness.
"We've known each other for a couple of weeks but I feel so destined to be with you," Cassie tells me
I felt my heart break into two. The girl I love was dying and I could do nothing about it. She is someone I need for the rest of my life. I wanted to be like Glenn and Maggie.
(A/N STILL UPSET THAT HE DIED.)
"You've got to keep fighting okay?" I whisper to her
"I am always fighting" Cassie whisper and laughs slightly.
"You have to fight harder, further," I tell her and grab her hand
"I can't fight if you don't--" Cassie says but starts to scream in pain because I started to stitch her up.
"You'll be okay" I whisper to her
"You have to be" I stutter to myself
*A while later*
"Are you okay now?" I question Cassie
"Ask me tomorrow" Cassie whispers and then further away but I stop her.
"Cassie, I am sorry that Ethan- died like that," I express to her
"I know you are" Cassie whispers
"I can't go back" Cassie adds
"Why can't you?" I question her
"I can't watch more people die under my father's power," Cassie tells me
"If you do not come back your father will kill everyone until he finds you," I tell her
"Trust me he won't," Cassie says trying to reason with me
"We don't have to go back," Cassie tells me
"I have a family who needs me," I tell her
"I know you do therefore you need to go back," Cassie tells me
"You are coming with me, right? "I question her
"Carl, I can't" Cassie whispers to me
"You have to" I beg her
