I get in a black mini van with a double bladed sword painted on the side. Nicolette was in passengers side while I was put in the trunk. Apparently I was "too unpredictable." The entire way there, wherever "there" is, Nicolette and Adalyn talked about me. It made me very uncomfortable. Thankfully there was enough room in the trunk to work on my knife maneuvering.
As Allanna fell asleep in the trunk with her arms cradling her scythe, Adalyn spoke quietly to Nicolette.
"You know, She could be the one we're looking for."
"I doubt it." Nicolette responded sadly. "They said it would be a guy. She is the exact opposite of male. She's bouncy and insane. Are we even sure she could be turned sane again? She's useless if she has those voices!" She shuddered on the last word.
"Don't lose hope Nico." Adalyn said tenderly. "I know you want your team, and you will! It's just, she needs to be on a team that can control her. She's too powerful. Too dangerous. You saw what she did with that scythe. You saw it first hand! The elders said that The One would be master of the scythe and skilled with all weapons. Just... Wait. That's all I can ask of you. Just wait."
"The elders said she could bend fire to her will. She cannot. She is not The One, and she will be on my team. That's that." Nicolette finished with a passion in her eyes.
Just then, Allanna woke up. "Are we there yet?" She said groggily.
"Yes, we are, my little tiger." Adalyn said sweetly.
They pulled in to a giant driveway. Nicolette got out the car.
"Here's your school. This is where you live until you join a squad. A Psycho Squad." Nicolette said before slamming the door. Allanna was skinny and flexible and impatient. She climbed through the trunk into the back seat. Adalyn saw what she was doing and locked the doors.
"No! Allanna wait!" Adalyn said frantically.
Too late. Allanna jumped through the car window and landed on her feet. She instantly started running to the mansion- like school.
"Here We Go!!!" Allanna screamed at top speed.
Grabbing her scythe, she stuck it in the ground and catapulted through a second story window. Turned out to be a dorm room.
"Hey!" said a guy in jeans with a red hoodie. He was laying on the bed, but Allanna caught his attention. He jumped up and tackled her. "Hey! My name is Jackson Skillet! Who the heck are you!?"
He finally got her to sit down on the bed and stop trying to kill him. Allanna saw another guy brushing his teeth in the bathroom. "Who is that?" she said murderously.
"Oh him? That's my roomate, Luke Alverez."
Luke walked in. "Who's this little thing?" He said in mock surprise.
"She could kill you in 3 seconds flat, don't flirt." Jackson said seriously. Allanna's hand was moving towards her hair. "Do you want to fix your hair? I'm fine with that."
Her hand found the pin. She pulled it out faster than they could react. They both backed up towards the broken window.
"Okay." Luke said as he grabbed her wrists. She struggled and decided against it. When he let down his guard she went for it. She kicked him where the sun don't shine. He winced and fell to the floor.
"Now. Can we have a civilized conversation?" Allanna said to Jackson.
"Sure" he responded.
They say down on the bed and she told Jackson her story.
