I've been so busy I almost forgot that I hadn't spoken to Miles since our little Skype and Netflix date. It was really fun talking to him to be honest. He always made me smile and we always had a good time when we were talking
To each other. I close my locker as I hold my planner and go through it. Meeting with Simpson. Yeah that's today.

"Hey!" Zoe greeted as she handed me a latte.

"Thank GOODNESS! How'd you know I needed to fuel up?" I sighed as I took a sip. Zoe chuckled.

"I know my best friend," she replied. "How are things with you and your internet boyfriend?" I cleared my throat as I seen Zig pass by shooting me and Zoe a look.

"You can't say, boyfriend. Zig and I still haven't DTRed and I honestly feel so overwhelmed..."

"Senior year is hard on all of us, you know." Zoe rolled her eyes. She spotted Maya down the hall and made a loud groan.

"Ugh, Maya...honestly, why are we friends with her??! She's so annoying and she's such a buzz kill honestly," Zoe asked me.

"Zoe," Tristan said. "You're my bestie poo and she is an original to the power of three back in the days," Zoe stared at Tristan, confused.

"Yeah, I'm gonna try and pretend like I know what you're saying?" Tristan sighed heavily.

"Me, Tori, and Maya were all best friends. And Tori wouldn't want me ditching Maya, regardless of how mean or a big of a buzzkill she can be. We stick together. Besides, I'm so used to Maya already. You should be used to her too," Zoe folded her arms and watched as Maya headed in our direction. Zoe forced a cough and glared at her.

"What?" Maya asked. "Is something wrong?" Zoë exchanged glances with me before walking off. I took a deep breath and sighed.

"What's her deal?" Maya wondered. "Is she mad at me?"

"I don't know. But how are you doing?" I asked her sincerely as I took out my phone. Maya took a deep breath and sighed.

"I've had better days. Hey, do you wanna maybe go to the movies with me? I wanna watch that Moana movie,"  Even though I wanted to go out tonight, I knew I couldn't. For some reason, all I could think about was going home and turning on my computer, hoping to talk to him or catch him before he goes to bed. After another long day at school, I go home and rush upstairs. Please be online. I drop my bag to the ground and take off my shoes. I sat up at my computer desk and scrolled through the set of user names on Skype. He's online. Yes. But something catches my eye. I see a photo of him and a guy, kissing. I hesitate. I don't know why I was consumed with sigh rage and the need to call him or message him disappeared. That's when he messaged.

Miles: Tristan?
Miles is typing...
Miles: it's been a while. I miss u...🙂

Should I reply? I mean the guy he was kissing in the picture was probably his boyfriend. Should I even reply?

Tristan: Sup
Miles: How is everything?
Miles: how's school? Boyfriend? Friends?

He said boyfriend and my mind fell on my ex boyfriend be Zig Novak. Maybe it was time to rekindle our romance. I mean, Miles is dating so that means I should too. It's not like Miles and I can ever date right?

Tristan: who's the dude you're sucking face with?
Miles: huh
Miles: oh u mean my profile picture? I can explain..
Tristan: lol jk it's fine...u don't need to. It's your life do whatevs 🙂😉
Miles: chill out Tris. A couple of girls at the local college are trying to get with me so my friend and I are fake dating to throw them off....
Tristan: fake dating can eventually lead to real dating so...
Miles: so what?
Miles: what I'm doing isn't bad I mean you kissed your ex so if anything you're the one doing wrong things.
Tristan: excuse me? 😠
Tristan: how DARE you.
Tristan: You don't even know me well enough to say that.
Tristan: 😡😡😡😡😡😡
Miles: well I know he hurt you and u keep crawling back to him for more..
Miles: why???
Miles: like...are u that desperate for someone to love u?

I stared at my screen, trying so hard to fight back tears. This guy wasn't like the guy I had conversations with before. He was the nice and sweet guy I was video chatting with a few days ago.

Miles: fuck.
Miles: okay maybe that was going too far...
Miles: Tristan???
Miles: I'm sorry I'm an idiot 😞☹️
Miles: pls don't ignore I s2g I take back what I said....
Miles: tris?
Miles: TRISTAN!
Miles: I'm sorry.......pls?
Tristan: u dnt have to take back what u said. It's true, anyways.
Tristan: I gotta go. But maybe I'll talk to u later or whatever. Bye Miles.

I move my cursor to the sign out button and I don't hesitate clicking it. I slammed my computer shut. I took a deep breath and crawled into my bed.

Tears. There they were. I don't know why they were coming out but they were there...
