Gwen blows her blonde bangs out of eyes as they narrow in concentration. Taking down the last results from her pending observations in her lab journal she sighs from fatigue. She cleans up her small work desk and briskly walks out of the room, murmuring a goodbye to the last person finishing up a days work. As she steps into the winter air through the large glass doors of Oscorp, she pulls her coat tighter around her body to shield it from the cold. Out of the corner of her eye she sees a figure emerge for an ally just behind where she exited the building. Walking faster she reassured herself that the hooded figure walking behind her was just some one trying to get home, yeah trying to get home to do homework! Right! She takes a couple of turns down the streets to see if they were actually following her, and sure enough they seemed to be. Turning into the Starbucks on her left, Gwen hurriedly moves to a table right by the security camera just in case anything happens. She momentarily thought of alerting the barista, but he was so enthralled with whatever was on his phone, he didn't even notice anyone came in, much less if she needed help. Gwen rummaged around in her purse and found the can of Mace she carried around for emergencies. Whipping her head around she sees the stalker come in and take off his hood, slowing walking towards her. The squeezing feeling in her heart dispersed into the fluttering of a thousand butterfly's as she realized it was Peter Parker. Now everyone has that one person who makes they're heart beat a bit faster, and the world seem a bit clearer, and Gwen Stacy's was staring right at her.

Peter saw Gwen walk out of Oscorp and immediately thought he needed to protect her. He knew how strong she was (mentally and physically) but sometimes everyone needs a little protection from Spiderman. He really didn't realize how creepy he must have been until he saw her whip around with a can of Mace in her hand and a snarl on her face. He put his hand up defensively and said, "whoa Gwen chill! It's just me! Sorry I scared you so bad!" Gwen blushed and itched her nose in the cute way she always does when she's nervous. She playfully swatted Peter's arm and whispered "Peter Parker you nearly put me into cardiac arrest! You're so lucky you...wow someone's been working out!" Now it was Peter's time to blush and awkwardly plop down in the chair opposite hers. "So Gwen," he began running his hands though his rumpled hair, "lately I um, have been uh," she interrupts him by taking his shaking hand from across the table and staring straight into his deep brown eyes. He studied her eyes as the distance between them closed, they were were a beautiful green with flecks of hazel and almost what seemed to be gold. She touched his face and smiled, but them pulled away, abruptly ending their moment of connection. Hurt by her sudden coldness, all Peter could do was apologize and cover his red face with his backpack. He heard Gwen laughing and peaked over the side, he was super confused. "Peter I'm sorry she said in a more serious tone, "I, I just don't know what will happen if I give in." "Give into what?" he asked with his puzzled expression, embarrassed and looking down at his calloused hand. "No, no! Peter I didn't mean it like that I just...don't know what I would do if we did happen." "W-we?" Peter sputtered, his smiled glowing on his face. "Peter Parker you're not making this any easier!" Gwen laughed, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Peter leans across the table and tucks the other one before she reaches it, and their hands collide. He takes her by the hand and pulls her through the door, insisting on having her over at his house for dinner. Gwen smiles and says, "whatever you say bug boy" as they skip all the way to Aunt May's.
