chapter 6:Uncertan paths

      Mossfire padded slowly through the caves, following a stream leading to the sacred place. She could sence the medicine cat behind her as she walked. She came into a cave with a shimmering pool and took a deep breath.
      "You ready?" Fawngaze asked.
      "No" Mossfire mumbled "but i got to do what i got to do"
      She padded up to the shallow pool and crouched down beside it. She put her nose to it and instantly was wraped in a blanket of cold. She opened her eyes and found herself still at the pool, but surounded by starry cats. She glanced over to Fawngaze as nine cats stepped up. She took a deep breath and held her head high as the first of the cats stepped foward.
     Mossfire instantly recognized the tom. "Littlestar" she said
      The old leader dipped his head. He padded up and placed his muzzle on the top of her head "with this life, I give you courage" he said "use it when things get hard"
     Mossfire felt a rush of power and pain. She almost yowled, not ready for the sudded pain, but she didn't, she stayed strong.
      Littlestar stepped back and a brown tabby padded up "hello there" she said "do you know who I am?" Mossfire shook her head. "I am Hailstar, first leader of Hailclan" the brown cat meowed.
     Mossfire blinked in suprise. Why would the founder of the clan be here, what was so important?
    Hailstar padded up and placed her head on top of Mossfire's "with this life, I give you peace, use it when it is finally calm" she said
     The pain came again, but Mossfire was ready for it this time. She also felt a small wave of calm under the pain.
     Hailstar stepped back and a very familiar cat walked up. She had sparkaling blue eyes and a fluffy light grey pelt. Her mother. "Palewind" Mossfire said
     "Hello my dear" Palewind said "it is my turn it seems" she stepped toward her and placed her head on top of her daughter's "with this life, I give you and mother's love, use it when your clan needs care"
      Mossfire braced for pain, but insted she felt warmth and love. She sighed and let the feelings wrap around her.
      Palewind stepped back and Mossfire readied for the next cat, the next life. A speckled brown tom padded up "hello I am pebblespeck, the first medicine cat of Hailclan" he said "are you ready to recive my life?" Mossfire nodded and he placed his head on top of her's "with this life, I give you compassion, use it when there is someone in need"
       Mossfire braced for another wave of pain, but insted she felt warmth.
     Pebblespeck took a step back and and another cat walked up.
     "Hello i am Winterfoot" the cat said and placed her head on Mossfire's "with this life, i give you strength" she said "use it when all seems lost."

After a while, she had received all of her lives, courage, peace, a mother's love, compassion, strength, forgiveness, kindness, bravery, and trust.
     Littlestar stepped up again "welcome, Moss-star" he said as the starclan cats started cheering her new name.
      But then a loud crash interupted the welcome and a very clear message was whispered in Moss-star's ear
      "Old friends become enemys as the darkest night falls, walking on uncertain paths will cause loss, but after the bloodshed, the broken will be mended and a new era will begin" (soz im bad at prophecys)
