Prologue 1.2
Eliza gasped and stumbled down to the floor as Britney and Jeremy looked at each other in utter shock. The red head teen quickly ran into the hall, shinning the light all over the place, searching for his twin sister. Britney quickly grabbed the flashlight that Sally had dropped and helped Eliza up, holding tightly onto her arm. Both girls followed Jeremy out and down the hallway. Then they heard it again, Sally's screaming echoing and coming from the backyard.
"You two go and leave! Call the cops or and get some help but leave this house now! I'll go and find Sal on my own and whoever the bastard is behind all of this." he ordered as he ran straight down the stairs and out through the glass doors.
"L-let's go now Brit. He's right we have to-"
"No! Don't you want to catch whoever it was that took Sally and did that to-to.." she couldn't finished as she looked down and away from Eliza's emerald eyes, "I'll go and find whoever did this and make them pay. You go and ge-"
"No, I'll help you, It's better if we go together so nothing bad happens." She smiled weakly as they both ran out of the house.
Jeremy rand from place to place in the wild tall grass. His ember eyes searching the bushes and plants for any sign of his sister. Since the day he left the house and went to live on his own he had always stayed by her side at school and after school. Now more than ever he was in desperate need to find his darling little sister and rescue her. But as fate would have for them both he won't be able to save her no more. Not with her life.
A pair of old creaking rusty swings began swinging and swaying on their own accord. The girls quickly caught up with Jeremy as they walked further deeper into the nearly pitch black woods. The scent of pine trees mixed with the darkening sense of death coated every inch of the once harmonious woods. They looked around in search of a sign of their dear friend still being alive, but nothing. There was no sign of her being alive still or of the culprit who was behind this all.
The moon was barely visible at all through the thick canopy of the large trees. Layers and layers of dead leafs covered and protected the ground. Years of no gardening attention sure did take its effect on the backyard. The swing set that stood near the falling and rotten fence was covered with the clinging vines, trying to dissolve it and take back its lost territory. Dry thorn bushes lined up along the tree's showed tattered and ripped clothing from who knows how long ago.
"Sally! Sis, where are you!?" hollered the tall jock.
No answer.
Just silence surrounded and carried into the air.
Then another ear-splitting scream resounded. All three teens looked and glanced over at the old but large wooden shack that once held all the gardening equipment. Without hesitation Jeremy ran over to the shack. He pulled on the door only to find it being held shut.
"Open up!" he yelled, "Open up this fucking door you damn bastard and let go of my sister!" he kept tugging at the door.
The sounds of her struggling to get free and her small voice praying was audible through the thin door. Work tables fell and broke on contact with the rough cement flooring. Gardening tools clattered around in the rather large building. Her voice kept throwing prayer after prayer, apology after apology, and scream after scream. She was still alive and struggling against whatever was trying to harm her.
Jeremy's anger just kept rising. He backed away a bit and threw himself onto the door. It barely even budged. He continued throwing himself against the door harder and harder. The pain that quickly grew in his arm was nothing compared to the pain he felt at hearing his dear little sister yelling and screaming for him. Once again he backed away and kicked at the door handle until it finally broke off and the door swung wide open. The bright fluorescent light flooded into the completely black room.
"Hurry! Leave this place now!" she cried.
Quickly he barged into the building and pulled her up from her badly scratched and bruised arm, "You girls go and call for help. I'm going to go find that fucking bastard." he stormed further into the shack.
Eliza ran over to her and gripped her from the forearm and ran out of the shack with her. Britney quickly helped as well as Sally began struggling against Eliza's firm grip. She yelled and begged them to let go of her and for them to go into the shack with her brother but they wouldn't listen to her. As best as they could they carried her into the dark and ominous house and through the nearly all black hallway. The heavy and malicious footsteps coming closer and closer after them in a slow and nearly calm pace. As they neared the entrance the footsteps began fading away.
Suddenly Britney began yelling in fear as they saw what lay on top of the car's hood. Eliza's eyes became flooded with tears at the sight of one of her childhood friends dead and mutilated. As for Sally she fell to her knees, shock evident in her eyes as she gazed at the gruesome sight before them.
Her brother laid there in pieces. His head with blood tear trails sat stuck on the hood ornament of the once white truck. His arms were both cut down into small parts that lay scattered around the windows. His body stood straight up on top of the truck's roof, his blood covering what was left of his clothing and the roof of the truck. His stomach was cut wide open with his intestines hanging off of the sides of the F-150. His legs were pinned and stuck in the grill, cut wide open just like his stomach.
"W-we have to go now!" yelled Britney as she ran to the blood stained white Ford.
Eliza and Sally where too in shock to notice what laid on the steering wheel, or to see her running and hopping into the truck. Eliza sank to the ground with Sally who stayed in a state of shock.
Once inside of the Ford Britney began fumbling through her pockets and purse for the golden keys. The smell of fresh blood coated around her and the truck, but as she noticed the real source of the smell inside of the truck she let out another heartfelt scream. She scrambled to open the door and fell flat on her back, the air in her lungs being knocked out of her.
Sally and Eliza snapped out of their daze and ran to her. Both helped her up to her feet and gasped at the sight of where his hands rested. The vein that hanged from the severed limbs proved to them that he wasn't only cut down, but pulled apart by some great force. Then it started again, the graveled driveway began moving as the footsteps began to go towards them.
But the voice that called out to them caught them all off guard.
As they looked in front of them they saw a dirtied Travis. He was covered in dirt all over. His eyes showed a hint of fear and worry. His chest rose up and down as he panted and ran over to them.
