Brayden and Mikhal made it back to the field. Brayden was glad that only 90% of the capsule was busted, because that meant that there was one last trick this pony could do.
"Did you bring tents or something?" Mikhal asked, a little confused as to how Brayden would fit two whole tent bags inside the relatively small space.
"I think I have something much better.", Brayden gloated. He went inside, and pushed a few buttons on the main console.
"Constructing. Please step back.", the robot voice said.
"You heard her. Step back." Brayden said, his arms folded.
They walked a reasonable distance away, and watched as the machine, strangely, sank into the ground, leaving a hole. Then, with a rumble, tons of rocks shot out of the hole, and created a pile. Hundreds of metal tendrils came from the hole, and started gathering materials. They brought back things from sand to whole trees. Once a sufficient amount of items were collected, the capsule popped back up out of the hole. The tendrils drew their attention to the main area, which now had "CONSTRUCTION ZONE" tape surrounding it. Then it was a blur of machine sounds and dust. After about 5 minutes, there stood a medium sized modern looking house, the kind millionaires would live in. The capsule, now nearly destroyed, buried itself beneath the ground.
"Cool, Huh?", Brayden said, boastfully.
"Pretty cool, man!" Mikhal said.
They both walked inside and Brayden started the tour. The house had been fully furnished and had electricity running in it. The exterior was white with windows in quite a lot of places. Lights hung from the ceilings, and a kitchen was placed in a convenient place near the door. Three bedrooms were up on the second floor, one for Mikhal, one for Brayden, and one for a guest.
Brayden's room was kept at 80 degrees fahrenheit at all times, and had a massive, six screened computer inside, and the walls were made of touchscreens. There were drawers filled with all sorts of ins and odds. Just the kind of stuff any nerd would die for.
Mikhal's room had a bunk bed, a large desk with a computer on it and a Wacom Intuos tablet hooked up to it. Seems like she really would get a new computer. Her room had an organised interior, neatly arranged and filed for its occupant to live in. The walls seemed to made of canvas for her to paint and draw on. There were two doors leading out to the "Inspirationatorium", where Mikhal could look at the landscape and get ideas.
The guest room had a regular old Dell computer in it, and bed complete with white bedsheets and pillows. There was one large window with a view of the mountains. It wasn't super interesting.
"This is, my dream house." Mikhal said, as they walked down the compact stairs towards the kitchen and living room.
The living room was made to be somewhat like an observatory. Two couches were faced across from each other and a 50 inch 4k TV with 7.1 Dolby Digital surround sound with full Dolby Atmos system. There were about 30 speakers in total. A counter was a few feet away with some supplies placed on top. The window looked out on a terrain of grass and wheat, along with a faint sight of a city in the distance.
The kitchen was, well, a kitchen. It had a few nerdy things, like that Samsung fridge with a screen on it, and an oven that had touch controls which, in hindsight, might not have been the best idea. There was a small nook with a circular wooden table. It had salt and pepper shakers built into it, and a napkin holder.
After the tour, they were both pretty excited to play with their new toys, but it was, like, midnight. Brayden put the house into night mode and they both went to sleep as soon as they closed their eyes.
