So Awkward- Matt and Lily

New Boy

Lily's POV:

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I get up, get dressed, brush my teeth and do my hair. I walk downstairs to get some breakfast. 

Lily's Mum: Good Morning Darling. Ready for school.

Lily: Yeah.

Lily's Mum: Here is your cereal and apple.  

I eat my breakfast in silence and all I can think about is Matt. But no, I need to stop. Hopefully this new boy is good.

Lily: Bye mum, see you.

Lily's Mum: Goodbye, have a good day honey.

I leave my house and walk to school, I can see Matt walking in a distance but I don't want to see him. I would usually run up to him and talk to him on the way to school and on the way home but I can't bare to talk to him or look at him at the moment. I get into school and see Martha. 

Lily: Hey Martha. 

Martha: Hi Lily. Ready to see Cameron today?

Lily: Yeah, ready. But what if he isn't my type. 

Martha: Then tell Matt how you feel. I did a test last night and results say, if you like him, Tell him, things might change. 

Lily: Definitely not, he clearly likes Natasha. 

Martha: Science is always right Lily, you just have to put the effort in.

Lily: Maybe you are right.

I walk into my first class and see Matt and Natasha sitting together, I usually sit with Matt. Not today.  I know I said I would forget but I can't. I start to tear up but I hold back my tears. The teacher walks in with a new person, that must be Cameron. o my gosh! He has blonde hair, blue eyes, the most tanned skin ever, what even is this? He is better looking than Matt! 

Teacher: year 9, we have a new student. Cameron Taylor. 

Cameron: Hello.

omg, he is perfect. 

the class went so fast but all I thought about was Cameron, for once I didn't think of Matt. I see Cameron walking by himself, this is my chance.

Lily: Hello, my name is Lily. 

Cameron: Hi Lily. I am Cameron. So nice to meet you.

Lily: Nice to meet you too. Do you like the school so far?

Cameron: Yeah, it's really good. It would be better if I could find the art rooms ahah. 

Lily: I could show you if you like. 

Cameron: That would be great. 

he is so cute and nice. o my gosh. I see Matt in the corner of my eye. He isn't with anyone and he seems, sad.  I start thinking of Matt again, oh damn. I go into a gaze and forget what I am doing. 

Cameron: Lily? Where are we going?

Lily: Pardon?

Cameron: The art rooms, you were taking me there.

Lily: Oh yeah, this way.

I keep walking to the art rooms and still see Matt, is he following me? 

Lily: This is the art rooms. 

Cameron: Thank you so much. 

He leans in and gives me this warm hug and kisses me on the cheek. 

Cameron: Thanks again.

He nods and leaves. Fireworks are going through my head and I am all lighten up, I think I have just found my new crush. Cameron Taylor.
