So Awkward- Matt and Lily

Jealousy

Lily's POV:

It has been 3 days since Cameron kissed me on the cheek. We have been talking and really hitting it off. He is super nice and funny, not to mention adorable. I haven't spoken to Matt since the other day when he tried to talk to me. I wonder what he was going to say. Anyway, it doesn't matter now. I really need to stop day dreaming in the middle of class.

Teacher: Lily, you will be working with.....Cameron.

Lily: Pardon?

Teacher: For the science project. You will be working with Cameron.

Lily: Great!

This is amazing. More time with Cameron, which means less time to think about Matt and to get closer with Cameron. I turn around and smile at Cameron and he smiles back. Finally the bell rings and we can finish this class. I see Matt walking in front of me. I kinda miss him, his funny jokes, his smile and how he is always- LILY SNAP OUT OF IT!! I am trying to forget about him. I see Cameron coming towards me.

Cameron: Hey Lils.

That's what Matt used to call me, I mean other people call me that but it was special when he called me Lils. It made me feel like I was the only girl in the world. 

Lily: Hey Cameron.

Cameron: So for the science project, do you want to come around mine this afternoon? I will text you the details.

Lily: Yeah sure, sounds great!

Cameron: great see you!

Lily: bye.

I walk away, finally, this is my chance to get really close to Cameron. ugh, I see Matt, he isn't with anyone though. In fact, I haven't seen him with Natasha that much over the last 3 days. I wonder if they broke up, but if that happened, It would be everywhere and everyone would know about it. Anyway, I go to my next class and Matt is in it. He approaches me....

Matt: Hey Lils.

Awwww, he still calls me that.

Lily: Hey Matt.

I have just realized how much I miss him.... LILY STOP!

Matt: Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this afternoon?

Lily: Sorry, I can't.

Matt: Why?

Lily: I am going to Cameron's house.

Matt: Ohh, well, another time?

Lily: yeah sure.

I walk away and sit down, that was so awkward.

Matt's POV:

I can't believe that she is going out with that dude. He isn't even that cool. I am the most popular boy in year 9 and everyone knows it. I am going to ask Natasha about him, she knows everything about everyone.

Matt: Sup Natasha.

Natasha: Hey Matty.

Matt: Do you know anything about that new boy, Cameron?

Natasha: Oh yeah, he is apparently tomorrow at lunch, asking Lily Hampton to the school dance on Friday.

Matt: Really? Why?

Natasha: He has like, the biggest crush on her.

Matt: NO WAY!

Natasha: Why do you even care?

Matt: No, just wondering.

Natasha: Your not jealous, are you? I know you used to have feelings for that Lily girl.

Matt: What? Definitely not. I am over her.

Natasha: Ok, I trust you.
