They ran east as fast as they could. Crimson liquid fell to the ground like water. Anthony led the group to the mountains, holding Gabriella's hand. They hid in a deep cave.

Gabriella Mayhem was bleeding. Her left eye was cut and blood was dripping from there.

Silver came back to the cave from searching for food and wood. He placed the wood down and Ara and Belle lit it up with their Elemental magic. Anthony suddenly slammed his hand on a rock, smashing it and made little Gabriella jump.

"What's wrong Anthony?" Justin asked. "Everything. Every single damn person in this damn world is fighting." Anthony growled.

"It's been like this for 1000 years, Anthony. Before we were even born. We've been running for most of our life. I don't see why you're getting annoyed now." Roxine said. "You never understand me, Roxine. If this world continues to fight, everyone will eventually die. And if that happens, then everything will eventually vanish." Anthony snapped. "Well, I'm not dying." Roxine crossed her legs. "Then how about you go out there and fight everyone yourself then?!" Gabriella yelled.

     Everyone looked at her, stunned.

"I'm done of running away from my problems. I'm done always hiding. And I am done seeing families get torn apart!" She yelled. Her right and good eye turned from beautiful lime green to scarlet, blood red.

Belle yelped as she saw her eye glow. "Gaby, what's wrong with your eye?" She asked, unable to hide the fear in her voice.

Gabriella put her hand over her eye. When she took it off, there was a red substance on her hand. It wasn't liquid, it was more like a burn mark. Except it didn't hurt.

"Let me see your hand, Gabriella." Anthony said. He sounded kind, a tone he almost never used. Gabriella knew she would make him mad if she didn't obey, so she showed him her hand.

That was when she realized her hand didn't have a random mark. The mark was actually a symbol of chaos. It was small, but large enough to see well.

"It's the Mayhem Family mark." Anthony mumbled as Gabriella pulled her hand away.

"But Gaby's family said that the mark was nothing but a legend and that it wasn't real." Ara said. "That's exactly the reason why I'm confused as well." Anthony mumbled.

"But that legend has been passed down from generation to generation in our family. If it's not true, then why would they make it up and why would I have the Mayhem Mark?" Gabriella asked. "Good question." Justin mumbled.

Gabriella noticed that Silver was looking out of the cave entrance and into the distance. "Silver?"

Silver pointed to the distance. Fire was rising from the town they had fled. The town where they had lived for all their lives. The town they grew up in. The town where their parents were. The town where they LIVED.

"No..." Gabriella said and ran out. "Gabriella! Stay away from there!" Anthony yelled. Gabriella only ignored him.

She had to save them. Everyone they had left behind. Her mother and father was still there. They can't have died. Yeah, they were probably helping everyone escape the flames. Right?

Gabriella prayed that her family was alright. She couldn't let them die. Never. They were the only reason why she was alive.

She was close to the village when someone grabbed her from behind. "What in the name of the moon so you think you're doing?!" Silver hissed. Gabriella kicked him, but he already had her tied up using a thick vine. He put her head on his soldier. Then, she saw it.

Two bodies were on the edge of the village. Then, everything went black.
