Gabriella rolled in her bed. She couldn't sleep at all. She kept thinking about the attacks. Finally, after a minute of rolling around her bed, she finally decided to go outside and walk around. She walked around outside the base.

"Can't sleep?" Silver appeared behind her. "Oh, hey Silver."  Gabriella looked at him. "So, what's bothering you?" Silver walked closer to her. "Nothing." Gabriella said quickly. She didn't want anyone to know about what she and Anthony talked about and possibly worry everyone else in the process.

"If you say so." Silver said.

"Wanna take a walk around the forest for a while?" He asked after a moment. "Fine. There isn't anything else to do after all." Gabriella said. She followed Silver to the forest.

"Hey, Silver, can I ask you a question?" Gabriella asked. "Sure. What is it?" Silver asked. "How do you manage to cope with me? I've had a lot of magic tantrums for the past three years and almost killed you and the others." Gabriella said. "Random question." Silver said. "I know, it's just been in my mind for a while." Gabriella said.

"Well, at first, I wanted you dead. Me and the others talked about abandoning or killing you. We decided to abandon you a year ago, but, obviously, we never continued with the plan." Silver answered. "What made you stop going with your plan?" Gabriella asked. "Well.." Silver looked up at the starry sky.

"We started seeing a different side of you. When we visited our old, now burned town, which was where we were supposed to abandon you, we saw something that changed our minds completely. We spotted you where your house used to be. And, well, you were crying. You weren't losing control of your magic at all. That's when we realized that you were just a young kid with a lot of problems and a kid that needed help getting over the tragedy of losing everything. And keeping you ended up being the best decision we could ever make. Because of you, we're still keeping strong. If you were gone, most of us would be dead by now." Silver explained. "You protect us, intentionally or not. You're now a part of our family." he added

Gabriella stared at him, really surprised. She never thought about having a different and softer side. She always acted cold around the others. It made her feel kinda guilty about acting like she never cared about them.

They sat down beside a lake, under the moon. Silver turned into his wolf form. Gabriella started feeling sleepy and laid down on his stomach and slowly fell asleep
