"Kyara what's wrong with you?" Nash says sitting next to me.

"What are you talking about?" I say irritated.

"You're not talking to anyone." I mean he's right. I look around Nash's living room at my friends talking.

"Okay so what? I just don't feel like talking, nothing's wrong. Damn." I roll my eyes. "I'm going to the bathroom."

I walk away before i get a response.

Nash has been my best friend since 8th grade and now we're juniors in high school. So we've been friends for awhile. But, lately it's just been different since he started dating my sister. It's just weird.

When i'm done with the bathroom I walk into the bedroom next to it. It's Nash's little brother Hayes' room. He's laying on his bed with earbuds in. I pull his earbuds out and he gasps.

"Oh my god, you scared me."

I laugh "Aw sorry. What were you listening to?"

"It's nothing. Shouldn't you be downstairs with Nash and them?"

"Yea I shouldn't but I'm not in the mood." I huff and sit down in the end of his bed.

"Why don't you want to be down there, if you don't mind me asking?" he says awkwardly fiddling with his hands.

"Sometimes they just irritate me." I say avoiding eye contact.

"I feel you, they irritate me all the time."

"Okay I'm gonna go down there. I'll see you later Hayes." I smile and leave his room. I figured I might as well be downstairs with my friends, rather than upstairs with Nash's brother that's seems weird.

I sit down at my previous spot next to Nash and Jack. "What took so long?" Nash asks.

"I went and talked to Hayes too while so was up there." I say honestly.

His face scrunches up and says, "Ew, why? Don't talk to Hayes" 

It's normal for me to talk to Hayes I don't see why it matters this one time. "I always talk to Hayes why does it matter?" I roll my eyes.

"Because, I don't need you to start dating my siblings too." He says in a serious tone I would've thought he was kidding.

"I wouldn't ever date Hayes, you and him are like my brothers." I laugh irritated. He's allowed to date my sister, but he makes it a big deal if I just talk to his brother.

"Ok good." Nash says then turns the other direction to talk to someone else.

I'll date whoever I want. It's not gonna be Hayes, but whoever it is Nash isn't gonna have a say in it.
