WARNING: This IS a BoyxBoy. If you don't like it, don't read it. Either that, or skip all the bits you don't like. BUT if you do like it, I will love you forever. :)
Welcome to the first part of an epic, ongoing adventure. A quick note from me: I'm now in the process of editing the series, so some people may read different versions to longer-standing fans. I do apologise for this, but the books are now coming up to being 4+ years old, and my writing style has changed over those years. I'm working to make your reading experience as smooth as possible, and I'd love as much feedback as possible! Drop me a comment if you have any suggestions!
Most of all, enjoy!
xoxo

Joe's POVIt seemed like it was going to be an ordinary Monday morning; nothing interesting ever happened on Mondays. I walked into school, shuffling through the groups of girls discussing their weekends and guys chilling in the hallways. The air was musty and stuffy, a clear indicator of the summer weather finally kicking in. If I was to be 100% honest, summer was my least favourite of the seasons - I was much more autumnal.
I made my way to my locker, unlocking it and dumping my PE bag inside it and swapping it for my rucksack full of old, second-hand books. I was always surprised by its heaviness, despite doing this every day of my life. It wasn't like I was unfit or anything; I worked out four days a week, sometimes five, and was in pretty good shape. Maybe this year would be the year I finally got that six pack...
"Oh. My. God. What is he wearing?!" I was pulled out of my thoughts as I heard almost screaming with horror. I turned slightly to see what the ordeal was about. I couldn't really see anything down the hallway. Turning the other way, I saw who they were staring at. Izazya Denail. Wearing dark skinny jeans and a black shirt with a black jacket, he looked striking against the bright colours of the summer.
This guy was a little weird. That's probably why most people feared him. He could either hate you or protect you, and neither really seemed like a good option. He was one of those guys; the quiet type, who didn't really have many friends, and only got involved with things when he needed to. Maybe he was Batman.
He walked into the school, looking at me briefly. I didn't want to get on the wrong side of him, and looked away from him as quickly as I could. I shut my locker slowly, even though I knew I'd be back in about ten minutes to retrieve my PE bag and skip English; I'd rather go kick-box than read Shakespeare again. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Izazya pass by me, and turned to watch what he was about to do. I lent back against the lockers, watching his huge figure walk over to the girls. His cheeks were slightly puffed out, making the girls giggle. He stopped in front of them. Uh-oh...
"What are you, a hamster?" one of the girls asked mockingly as he stopped in front of them, the rest of the girls laughing at her comment and nodding to each other approvingly. Izazya's eyebrow cocked upwards and suddenly, blew out a mouthful of smoke into the faces of the girls. Their faces were priceless! I couldn't help but laugh as he walked away. I saw him turn to look at me, a small smile on his lips. He nodded once and carried on walking. I blinked slowly, in shock. I'd just realised how good looking he was in those few seconds of a half-smile he'd given me. I swallowed heavily, shaking my head. No, I couldn't be thinking like that... I wasn't into guys. I was positive. He's just good looking, that's all...
"Extremely good looking," I said under my breath. Unfortunately for me, there was a girl next to me. She looked at me and giggled; obviously thinking I meant her. I looked at her. Definitely wouldn't be thinking about her. She was wearing a fluorescent green shirt and high-waisted shorts, with a pair of black pumps. Her outfit wasn't so bad. Her face was plastered in orange make-up, about 3 inches of the stuff, her eyelashes longer and blacker than any I'd ever seen, with pale, foundation-covered lips.
"Me?" she asked, batting her eyelashes at me. I widened my eyes and shook my head manically.
"No! No, sorry" I almost yelled as I backed away from her. She followed me, shoving me against the lockers, running her hand down my shirt.
"Are you sure?" she asked with a smirk. I nodded my head.
"Positive, I don't date slags." I replied. She laughed.
"I'm not a slag silly, I'm just sexually active" she giggled, running her hand onto my jeans. I needed to move, now.
"Look! It's Zac Effron!" I yelled, pointing at the door.
"Where?!" She and about sixteen other girls yelled, turning towards the door. I saw my chance and took it, sprinting down the corridor.
I'd only been running thirty seconds. I looked behind me to see if everything was clear. Not seeing the person in front of me, bent down tying his shoelace, I smashed into him, flipping right over him and smacking my head hard against the hard tiled floor. I moaned in pain before opening my eyes to yell at the person who had been in my way. I stopped in my tracks as I saw who it was. Izazya. I gulped, pressing my hand to the back of my head, and bringing it forward to look at it. My hand was stained with blood, the smell sending me dizzy.
"Ugh," was all I managed to say before the dizzying spiral became to much and I fell sidewards onto the floor. I looked at Izazya, who was looking at his wrist. It was obvious he'd fallen on it and broken it, and he was stroking it softly. He looked at me, with rage in his eyes.
"You should watch where you're going!" he yelled at me. I winced slightly, his voice making my ears ring.
"I-I'm... Sorry, Izazya... Was running from... Girl." I heard my voice go higher on the word 'girl' and I mentally scolded myself. I moaned in pain again, resting my head on the floor.
"You don't look too good," I heard Izazya sigh and stand up. The next thing I knew, he had picked me up, my arm around his neck to support me. "Let's get you to the nurse's office."
"Thanks..." I mumbled and he chuckled quietly, helping me towards the nurse's office. He knocked on the door for me. I saw the nurse open the door and gasp; but that was all, before I blacked out completely.
