Izazya's POV

I didn't know exactly who was following us, but I knew they were trouble.

"Up ahead Joe, into the forest!" I yelled, dragging him further forward, shoving him infront of me.

"But Izazya-" he began to protest.

"Just go Joe! I'm right behind you." I assured him, running behind him. He nodded, picking up speed. I looked behind us; those guys were gaining on us pretty quickly, they'd broke into a sprint shortly after us, and I could hear noises in the distance, barks and growls. I swallowed hard, pushing myself into a faster sprint, realising Joe was getting way ahead. Damn, the boy could run, when it was to save his life. I sighed heavily and skidded to a stop, crouching on the ground. I'd give Joe some time, I promised him no one would hurt him. I stood properly and waited for the pair to get close enough to start a fight. I smirked slightly as they came closer into view. Two dogs; extremely large dogs, and obviously wild. I swallowed heavily, looking back to see if Joe had left. Sure enough, he had; he was safe in the forest now. I turned back and the dogs were even closer.

"Shit." I said under my breath, turning and running towards the forest. No way could I fight dogs that were half the size of me, with sharp teeth and claws. I ran for my life, the growls and barks getting closer and closer. I saw Joe's figure come into view.

"Joe! Get up that tree, now!" I yelled, leaping over a fallen tree.

"What, this one?" He asked, extremely calmly.

"Any tree, just get your ass up it!" I yelled. He nodded and began climbing up the three. I stopped underneith the tree looking up. I couldn't help myself, okay? I was perverted and I knew it; I pretty much embraced it.

"Nice view." I said with a smirk, staring up at Joe. Joe looked at me and flagged me off.

"Would you like to stop staring at my ass and save your own?" he asked in a pissed off voice, sitting on a branch in the tree.

"Oh, that would be a good idea." I replied, pretending to wipe my mouth from drool and winked at him, leaping into the nearest tree. He flagged me off again from the tree across from me. Just as I reached a branch, the dogs ran through the forest, stopping below us, barking madly and scrambling at the foot of the tree.

"Why did we get followed by dogs?" Joe asked from across the forest. "I thought I saw people?!"

"Maybe these are owned by people," I shrugged. "Or maybe the bitches love me."

"What?" Joe asked, confused. The dogs howled.

"They get me, it's a dog joke." I smiled over at Joe, and then stood up on the branch.

"izazya! What are you doing?!" Joe screamed at me as I crouched on the branch, getting ready to take the leap.

"I can't bare to be away from you Joe," I smirked. "And this distance is too far for me to handle."

"Izazya don't be a fool!" Joe screamed at me. I rolled my eyes, flicking stray hair from my face and leaping from the branch.

"Izazya!" Joe screamed at me, lurching forward. I almost didn't make it. My fingers on my left hand only just curling around the branch Joe was on. Joe's eyes widened as he scrambled closer, trying to reach for me. I looked down, the dogs leaping, their teeth scraping at my ankles.

"Fuck this was a bad idea!" I yelled, looking up at Joe. Joe held out his hand, edging closer towards me.

"T-take my hand, Izazya!" Joe said urgently. I reached out with my free hand, my fingers just missing his.

"Shit!" I yelled, feeling my fingers slip. Joe's eyes widened further and he reached again, grabbing my hand firmly. I grinned at him and he smiled nervously back, pulling me up onto the branch. As he did, he almost fell back off the branch, but caught himself just in time.

"You're lucky I saved your life." Joe growled, "you could of killed yourself, stupid boy."

"Yeah, but I saved yours!" I protested. He rolled his eyes.

"Izazya. You just tried to jump across a gap of about ten metres, whilst wild dogs were trying to freakin' eat us!" Joe scolded me.

"Yeah, but it was worth it, to be next to you." I said softly with a smile. I saw him blush and I knew I'd won this game.
