You have a dangerous power that allows you to project your thoughts into reality.
A scarlet color stained your cheeks as you realized what had just happened. You kissed Kid-- no. You thought about that one time you and Kid kissed and WELL-AH! It turned into reality.
You quickly pulled away, covering your tomato red face and avoided eye contact with him.
"I-I wasn't intending to-" You squeaked shyly.
"It's okay. I know you can't control your powers yet. You...just need practise."
You nodded, not willing to say a thing in case it makes things even more awkward.
It was embarrassing when things like this happened. It totally didn't help with the fact that you were about to try and talk to him and try to avoid all of this not-talking-to-each other faze.
It didn't help one bit. In fact it made it much worse.
"Go Fish! Liz lets play Go Fish!" Patty nagged while poking Liz in the arm.
"No! We'll play it later." Liz declined while filing her nails.
Patty pouted.
"Ohhhh! But sis!"
"No Patty!" Liz shouted, a vein popping in annoyance. You sighed and looked up at the clock on the wall.
"UWAAA! I'LL BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" You panicked, running out of the room and to your school.
"Wait!" Kid yelled, catching up to you on his flying skateboard thingy.
"What?" You raised an eyebrow, spinning your head around to face him.
"I have to come with you. Someone has to keep an eye on you at all times, remember?" He said.
You scoffed. "Yeah, yeah, I'm not that dangerous that I can destroy the world or something." You waved a hand at him skeptically. He glared at you in responce.
"Alright, alright. Come if you have to, cause I'm going now!" You snorted, walking off.
Later at school...
"______! Kid! Your late!" You winced at the attendance lady's growl and held onto Kid's arm, gripping it tightly. When you opened your mouth to speak, before you could actually get the words out, she rudely interrupted you.
"Save your excuses and tell me now why exactly your late!" She spat. Luckily for you, Kid spoke up in his and your defence.
"______ and I had some important business to attend to, we had an appointment." Kid lied.
You looked at him worriedly. There was no way that she would buy that crap!
"And before you ask, if you really need to know the exact details, my father can report it to you."
Strangely enough, it was said in a way that she couldn't punish us.
"Okay...but next time your late I want at least a slip or some sort of proof." She said while handing us our late passes. "Thank you. " Kid bowed. As you two walked off, you couldn't help but snicker.
"What was that?" You asked raising a brow. "Our ticket out of detention obviously, or would you rather had us on detention?"
"No, just....surprised how fast you were able to think on your feet."
"I'm Death the Kid, the son of Death, what would you expect?" He said. You nodded. He would probably be expected to think fast, since he's all 'high status'. But he doesn't have to be so proud of himself! "Whatever." You snorted, walking faster. "By the way . . . _____," You shot your head up, instantly paying attention. "your going to have to train with me later, practising your power so you.....wont do that again." He coughed awkwardly. You nodded, the scarlet pink colour from earlier smeering itself on your cheeks again.
"R-right...and so I don't conjure a keishin, right?" You scoffed. He nodded. "Argh..." You groaned.
"Get off my case already..." He glared at you when you muttered that.
"I'm just trying to help you with your powers, that's all!" He snapped. You rolled your eyes.
"Whatever." you shrugged. "You're the boss."
"What does that mean?!" "It means that you only want me to stop kissing you! That's what that means!" You hissed. He looked quite offended by that by the way he glared back at you. "I-I never said that!"
"Yeah, but I bet you thought it!" You growled.
He turned away from you and before he proceeded through to our class, he muttered;
"If you think that then maybe I should stop trying to protect you." and walked off.
