"Dad?" Juvia asked.

"Hello, Juvia," Marco said. He looked around the dojo and scoffed.

"What are you doing here?" she asked nervously.

"I came to get you," he said flatly.

"I-I don't understand," she stuttered nervously.

"You're coming to live with me."

"What? No!" she exclaimed.

"You don't have a choice!" he barked.

"I won't leave Gray!" She ran over to her boyfriend and hugged him. "I won't!"

"Juvia, you have to leave," Gray said, pushing her way.

"How can you say that?" she asked breathlessly.

"I don't care if you leave. I don't even care if you ever come back," he said, crossing his arms.

"Please," she begged, crying. Marco walked over and picked her up. He started walking away. "Gray, don't leave me!"

"Ow, Juvia," Gray gasped. Her nails were digging into his arm. He gently shook her, waking her up. She lifted her tear-streaked face.

"Gray!" she exclaimed, hugging his neck tightly, the force knocking him on his back, she being pulled on top of him.

"Woah, what's wrong?" he asked. She sobbed quietly against his neck.

"I had this horrible dream that my father came to take me away and you just let him and you said you didn't care if I left or if you ever saw me again and it was the scariest thing ever and I really thought you didn't love me anymore and that would be awful because-"

"Juvia, calm down," Gray said soothingly, petting her hair. She reduced her crying to a slight sniffle. "It's alright. I'm not letting you go anywhere."

"Promise?" she asked, lifting her head up.

He kissed her forehead and smiled. "Promise"

"Good," she said, resting her head on his chest. With every beat of his heart, she felt a small amount of courage rush through her body. "Gray?"

"Hmm?" he hummed. He was twirling her hair in his fingers.

"I don't think I've said this before," she started. She took a deep breath. "But I-"

"Are you guys awake?" Ur asked, opening the door. "Wendy told me she slept with you two last night." She leaned against the doorway.

"Yeah, but she was gone when I woke up," Gray said. He didn't even mind that Juvia was still laying on him. For some reason, it wasn't even uncomfortable with Ur there.

"She said she went back to her room. She told me she just wanted to see if you were doing anything," she explained.

"Oh, yeah?" he asked, wondering where the conversation was going.

"She said she came here around nine, and you were already asleep."

"I was pretty tired," Juvia laughed nervously.

"Just lock your door, okay?" Ur flashed a smile before leaving.

Gray sighed at his mother. "What were you saying?" he asked.

"Nothing," she hissed, rolling over.

"Are you sure?" He noticed her sour tone.

"Perfectly fine," she hissed again. If words could kill, he was positive he would be dead.
