Going on a walk to clear her mind, Tay hid by a tree as she saw Archie running shirtless down the road. She stepped out as he got closer. He looked left and right and stopped when he spotted Tay.

"Archie, what are you doing out right now? you could catch a cold." She joked.

"Tay. Please don't tell anyone you saw me. Just. Just don't worry about it. Please." He was serious and ignored her joke. She nodded and promised she wouldn't tell.

As he started to go into someone's driveway she noticed that the car on the street was Ms. Grundy's.

'Archie Andrews what have you gotten yourself into?' she thought to herself as she walked home.

In the morning Tay decided she would try to figure out what Archie was doing running to a teacher's house at midnight, though she already had an idea.

She approached Archie at his locker.

"So, Arch, I know you don't wanna talk about it but would you like to discuss what happened last night?" She patted his back and startled him.

"Look Tay. Please let it go. It was nothing." He sounded desperate. Before she could continue, Jughead approached Archie as well.

"Do you think I can use Jason's death as an excuse to get out of PE? 'sorry coach, I'm just too depressed and freaked out right now to do pullups'" He asked, making Tay chuckle. Archie, however, didn't take the joke so well.

"Don't joke about Jason Blossom." He said stiffly.

"What? Sardonic humor is just my way of relating to the world." He smiled. Tay smiled at him, showing she thought his joke was funny even if Archie didn't. Jughead looked down the hallway and scoffed. "Look, it's the rich kids from The Goonies. All right, I'm out." He began to walk down the hallway, and Tay followed, walking next to him.

"Well Archie might be an ass but I thought that was funny." She nudged his shoulder and he laughed.

Just then, Reggie bumped into Jughead and yelled, "watch it Wednesday Addams." Tay opened her mouth to yell at him but Jughead stopped her, telling her it's not worth it to make a scene with someone who, "doesn't have a high enough IQ to catch anything but a football."

Nodding, Tay decided to change the subject.
"Juggie? You and Archie are like best friends right?" She asked.

"Yeah. Or we used to be at least." He sounded stiff like Archie with the Reggie joke a minute before.

"So you would notice if something with him was off, right?" She continued.

"Yeah, I guess so. Why? I have noticed he's been kinda sketchy lately. Did something happen?" He replied.

"I'm actually not sure, I just saw something last night that seemed a bit off, that's all." She assured.

As they were walking to class, they heard Veronica trying to rebuild her friendship with Betty.

"Man, I wish Betty would just forgive her already. Everyone makes mistakes." Jughead spoke his thoughts on their situation.

  "Me too dude." Tay agreed.

"Did your sister really buy some special New York cupcakes for Betty?" Jughead asked.

"Yep. They were super expensive too. We used to go to that bakery a lot. It was like your Pop's, but a really expensive bakery instead of a cute little diner." Tay answered him.

They split in the hallway, Tay going to English, and Jughead going to a room on a different floor, apparently.

The students heard the principal's voice on the intercom, though they didn't really listen too much.
