3:30am

I wake up to loud rain and arguing that comes from the living room. The voice I recognize is Coles and the other voice seems to be a girls but I have no idea who it belongs to. They weren't being completely loud but I could somewhat hear what they were saying over the loud rain.

"Just go Audrey you're wasting your valuable time arguing with me." Cole says. Well now I know her name is Audrey.

"But I miss us. And all the things we could be. The things we could do...." I cringe at her voice. It's not that I'm jealous it's just that her seductive voice was cringe worthy.

"Get off of me and get out of my house." He says louder than the other tone he's been using.

Once I hear the front door click shut I walk back into my room so that he doesn't suspect anything.

"Madeline?" Cole says as he walks over to me. "I'm sorry did I wake you?" He says in an apologetic tone.

"No, it was the rain that woke me." I say trying to ease his tension. His eyes were puffy and red and his hair was messed up.

"Oh." He said as he made his way back into his room. He left the door open so that I could see into his room. He went to the balcony and pulled out cigarettes. He was in the clear of the rain so he didn't get wet.

I walk into the balcony and stand next to cole. He looked sad. He looked almost as if his heart wasn't fully put together.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask him. He looks down at me and gives me an apologetic look.

"Sure." He says in a low tone almost a whisper. He puts his cigarette out and we walk back in and sit on his bed.

"That was my ex." He says looking down into his lap. He looked almost if he was going to cry but he didn't.

"Her name was Audrey and she cheated on me... with my own brother." He says sniffling. "We dated for about a year and then one night we were fighting and she just told me all about it."

I rest my hand on his shoulder to comfort him a little bit.

"The worst part about the whole thing was that she was completely sober and knew what she was doing." He says this time with a tear rolling down his cheek.

I bring him into a hug and give him a tight squeeze. He needs someone to be there for him and I was going to be that person if he needed me to be.

"Do you want me to stay with you for the rest of the night?" I ask him. I didn't want to leave him alone because he seemed to need someone.

"Yeah, can you lay with me?" He asks. I nod my head and get under the covers with him. I pull him into my chest as he falls asleep in my arms.

-

The sun beams in my face. The sound of Coles soft snores soothes me. He lays there with his arms wrapped around my waist and his head in the crook of my neck. I gently roll out of his grip to check the time.

               10:30am

Wow. I thought to myself. The latest I usually sleep is around 9am. So the thought of me waking up this late surprises me.

I hear a soft groan come from cole as I roll back over to look at him. His eyelashes lay elegantly on his face and his lips were pursed into a soft pouty look. There was so much to fall in love with his face. I could write endless amounts of poetry about it.

"Good morning." He groans as he shifts his body up to tower mine.

"Good morning." I say back giving him a soft smile. He looks so perfect.

"Thank you for staying with me." He says in a soft tone.

"You're welcome." I say staring into his eyes. "Umm.. Lydia texted me saying that she wanted me to hang out today, so I should probably go get ready." I say breaking a moment that one of us could possibly regret.

"Uh, yeah, Dylan said that he wanted to hang out today so I should probably get ready." He says. At first I am confused but then I remember that Dylan is his brother. Twin brother.

-

"Wait. So you actually slept in the same bed as he did?" Lydia squeals.

"Well it's not like we did anything, we just went to sleep." I said knowing that she'd think I'd have sex with him.

"So you didn't have sex." She says as she touches a pair of combat boots that are black and hands them to me. "These would look good on you." She says.

"No we didn't have sex and thanks I like them." I replied. "I mean I wouldn't want to have sex with him considering the fact that we live together." I confess to her, that's a semi lie because he looks like a complete sex god.

"Oh please who wouldn't want to have sex with Cole sprouse?" She says walking to the shirts section of the store.

She was right. He was attractive, sweet, caring, smart, and could just do anything.

"Wait," she says and turns around and looks at me. "You haven't told him you're a ban-" I cut her off mid sentence. I didn't want to hear the word come out of her mouth. Or anyone's mouth.

"No! How do you tell a normal person. 'Hey I grew up in a supernatural town and there were werewolves, kitsunes, but no vampires, oh and not to mention I'm a banshee!' I moved to New York to try and be normal and moved back to cali to do my job." I add the hand gestures and everything. "Oh and get the black one the purple one will fade." I say to her as she holds up two shirts but then puts down the purple one.

"You obviously cant just straight up tell him. Ease into it ." She says giving me her signature dimpled smile.

"I'll try but just not this week." I say to her.

"Sometimes you have to take risks to earn trust. Remember not all monsters do monsters things." She tells me as we go to check out.

Maybe Lydia is right. Maybe I just have to let him explore me as I explore him.
