02 Only the beginning

Eleanor's POV

After hours of drinking I decided it was time to go home. Home? I haven't used that word for so long. I open the door of the  boarding house only to come face to face with Lilian Salvatore aka my mother.

Eleanor you are finally here- she said with a smile- I was getting worried for you. Come in the dinner is almost ready.

I don't want to eat.- I said trying to walk upstairs

But I made your favorite food- she said - I was thinking we could have a nice family dinner, what do you think?

A nice family dinner, huh? You are kidding right? You abandoned us and now you want to have a family dinner? Sorry, I don't think so. Did you ever thought us? Did you ever thought what were we going through?

Eleanor please, am trying to make us a family again- she said

We were never a family- I said with tears in my eyes- you were never a good mother to me, you were never there to protect us from our drunk father, you just decided to leave us with him!

How could you say that Eleanor? I always loved you and your brothers- she said-  I was always there for you!

No, you weren't. It was always just me, Damon and Stefan. You just left when we needed you the most.- I said before walking to my old bedroom.
After half an hour there was a knock on my door.

Go away- i yelled

It's your favorite sibling- I heard Damon walking into the room

You aren't my favorite sibling- I said turning around to look at him

I brought chocolate ice cream- he said with a smirk

You know me too well- I said with a smile

So care to fill me in why you are sad? And why Lily left the house and called me to come home and calm you down?- he said sitting next to me on the bed and taking a spoon of ice cream

I told her everything I kept for hundred and something years- I said putting my head on his shoulder

Truth hurts. She should've known that coming back into our lives would be hard.- he said hugging me

Yep you are my favorite sibling - I said laughing

And why is that?- he asked

Because you  were always on my side- I said - and you were always the one who got me out of trouble

And you got in a lot of trouble- he said

But I was your favorite troublemaker.

Of course you were- he said- you will always be my favorite troublemaker.

I want a welcome back party- I said smiling

I'm pretty sure you need friends to throw a party- he said

I have friends!- I said

No you don't- he said

Well name one of your so called friends!- I said crossing my arms

Ric, my best friend and drinking buddy- he said smirking

Well I want to meet this friend of yours- I said

Ok, you and I are going to the grill- he said taking his leather jacket

Ok- I said taking my phone from the night stand- let's go

Where are you two going? - Stefan asked from the door

We are going to meet Damon's imaginary best friend- I said and Stefan gave Damon a confused look not understanding what I am talking about.

She doesn't believe Ric is a real person- Damon said and opened the front door for me

I will believe when I see it with my own eyes- I said and open the passenger door of Damon's car

When enter the grill, Damon sits next to some guy and I sit next to Damon

Ric, I would like you to meet my annoying sister Eleanor- he said smirking- Eleanor this is my best friend and drinking buddy Alaric

You have a sister?- Alaric said

She didn't believed you existed- Damon said looking at me- she thought you were my imaginary best friend

Is he paying you to be his best friend?- I ask Alaric

No I don't pay him to be my friend- Damon said smirking- you don't want to be on Ric's bad side

And why is that?- I said

Well you see he is history teacher by day, vampire hunter by night.

A vampire hunter and a vampire became best friends? I've heard about this but never seen it.

So how long are you staying in town?- Alaric asked

I am planning to stay awhile. I am planning to see some houses  next week- I said

You can stay in the boarding house- Damon said

Damon-the doppelganger said hugging Damon from behind- Caroline told me your sister is back in town

Yep she is right here- Damon said pointing at me

Omg I am Elena Gilbert, it nice to meet you- she said with a smile

Eleanor Salvatore- I said

She never liked my girlfriends- Damon whispered to Elena, but thanks to my supernatural hearing i heard it

Well they were all psychos, crazy or boring- I said- let's just hope she is better then Katherine

I am- she said- I am not going to break Damon's heart like she did.

Let's hope that's true- I said smiling

It is- she said taking Damon's hand- he means the world to me, I would never hurt him

I will leave you two alone- I said getting up and giving them a small smile before leaving

When I opened the door I run in someone and fall on the ground.
I look up and see Klaus looking down at me laughing.

I am sorry, love.- he said giving me his hand so I can get up

I am sure you are- I say taking his hand

It's almost midnight, what are you doing here- he asked

I came here with Damon, but he is stayed here with Elena so am going home.

Need a ride then? - he said- it could be quite dangerous walking at night, all alone.

Sure, why not- I said

We started walking to his car and he  opened the passenger door for me.

Thanks- I said smiling

You should smile more often- he said  starting the car- your smile is the most prettiest thing I have seen in a long time

Are you flirting with me?- I ask

Do you want me to?- he asks smirking

Maybe- I said laughing and looking at him

We are here- he said smiling

Thanks for the ride and for making me laugh- I said smiling and getting out of the car

No problem, love- he said and he was about to start the car again when I stopped him

Wait- I said- I am throwing a party tomorrow night, would you like to come?

I would love that- he said and with that he left.
I open the front door and vamp speed to my bedroom. I close the door and went to the bathroom connected to my bedroom. I turn the water and start taking my clothes off. I lock the bathroom door because I know Damon and Stefan have never heard of knocking. I get in to the tub and let my body relax. It's been a long day and I have a feeling it's only the beginning.
