Author's note:

The main character Lilian is this odd girl that loves to dream. Her dreams are based off of the dreams I have when sleeping-- And yes, my dreams are down right phenomenal. But I am not as loopy and crazy as Lilian. Lilian is completely fictional, and has no relation to my life-- except for my dreams, and few similarities we share (Music, reading, etc).

I give credit to Amna for helping me think this story up. Thanks Cow.

When falling into the comfort of my soft bed, I fall asleep immediately, escaping into my domain of dreams.

I stood in front of a Coca-Cola sea, stepping on Willy Wonka Nerds sand. The gummy palm trees swayed in the candy scented breeze, slowly blowing cotton candy clouds across the pink/orange sky. The waves churned and splashed at the shoreline, quickly pulling away perfectly. I let out a relieving sigh as I sat down on the sand, picking up a Nerd and popping it into my watery mouth. Delicious. Slowly, the sweet Nerd melted in my mouth, the wonderful candy impressing my taste buds.

Picking up one of the so called coconuts, that were actually large Whooper's (Which are simply malted milk spheres dipped into melted Hershey's chocolate), and cracked it open with a candy rock, and ate it-- along with the candy rock as well.

Suddenly, a liquorice helicopter hovered over the beach, Nerds flying in all directions. The helicopter held a large Mentos, and was flying towards the Coca-Cola sea. I watched, as the helicopter counted down. "5... 4... 3... 2... 1." It dropped the Mentos, plummeting into the deep Coca-Cola sea. As the Mentos hit contact with the sea, I woke up.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

My eyes shot open. I scanned the room. The walls, that once were filled with drawing and posters, was bare. The desk that had scattered papers and pencils all over the surface, was clean. The room, empty. I remembered.

I was off to college today.

I slid on my prepared clothes, a Marvel Avengers t-shirt and a pair of jeans, vibrant colors of paint splattered on the left leg. I slid on my worn out black boots, and stared at the mirror. My bright green eyes flickered. I fixed up the bangs that fell over my right eye and straightened the golden brown hair that fell halfway down my torso. I wonder how long my hair would be if I didn't cut it. How long would it be if I never cut my hair ever, in my entire life? Probably longer than my own height. It's amazing how hair grows to an amazing length so slowly-- yet, you never notice its growth at all. When looking at a picture of yourself from several months ago, you then realize your hair's growth.

My mother's voice pulled me out of my self conversation in my head. "Lilian! Hurry up, your breakfast is getting cold!" I began to walk down the stairs, my older brother sprawled on the couch watching his recorded football game. "Conan!" I screamed in his ear, causing him to flip off the couch. I started laughing. "That wasn't funny, Lily."

"Yeah it was."

"No, it wasn't!"

"It kind of was." My other older brother, Jonathan (Also known as Johnny) called out from the other couch, who was still taking notes from his textbook.

Conan was the oldest. He's twenty six and has earned a master's degree in engineering, but he's too lazy to find a job. Conan kind of looks like me and our mom. Golden brown hair and green eyes, scruffy hair that falls to his eyebrows, and a lean frame. My brother Jonathan is twenty one and is currently in the University of California to become an architect. Like my father, his eyes are stern and brown. His light blonde hair is toppled to the side in a messy way.
