~A couple weeks later~
No one's POV
The Order of the Stone sat on the ground laughing and having a great time. They had gotten back from their crazy adventures only a couple weeks ago. While the order stopped to finally take a good look at their home town, Ivor continued his adventures. He kept going on adventures of his own all while the Order was home. He would come back every now and then, with new notes on new worlds he had discovered.
Although it was good there wasn't much trouble going around, the Order didn't know how to feel about the peace and quiet around town. It had been a while since they've had a little bit of rest and they didn't know if they could handle it. They had gotten so used to adventures, that they weren't really used to the silence.
"Man, this so strange not having any adventures or action around. I kinda miss it." Axel stated looking up at the sky.
"Agreed. It's a little new but we can handle it. Another adventure has to show up sometime in the future. But in the meantime we should just rest." Jesse replied to her friend, closing her eyes and smiling lightly.
They all looked at the sky silently, not knowing what was to come next.
The wind blew with a little bit of a force. Petra sighed and sat up.
"We better get going. I think a storm may be on its way." She got up and pointed over to some dark gloomy looking clouds, everyone got up and began to get ready to leave. They packed up all their stuff and headed back to the tree house. The group had expanded it so they could fit rooms for everyone. They could have decided to stay in the temple but decided against it. Jesse really liked the idea about staying in the tree house mostly because it brought lots of good memories.
"Hey Petra race ya there!"Lukas smirked looking over at the red head.
Petra smiled. "Oh you're on!"
The two started running ahead while the other three watched. Jesse laughed, seeing her friends have fun was good enough for her.
••••••••••••••••••••
Jesse quickly put her armor on her armor stand and hopped in her bed. Jesse and her friends were ready to end the day with a well deserved rest. Jesse laid her head on her pillow and almost immediately fell into a restful sleep.
But it wasn't as restful as you would imagine...
Jesse POV
~dream~
A bright light flashed in my eyes and I was blinded for a second before my eyes explored my surroundings. I was back in sky city. The place was torn up and ruined and remains of monsters were scattered everywhere. I knew everyone was on the ground below but still felt as if I weren't alone. I turned around looking to see if I could see anyone. But I saw no one.I shrugged it off and walked around the wrecked floating island. It was a little weird being up here again. And maybe it was because I didn't know what I was doing up here. I decided I would go down from the island but when I walked back out to the main part of the island where the waterfall was formed, I noticed there was no waterfall. Not anymore at least. I looked at the now dry area confused, I could've sworn there was a waterfall here when I got here.
Suddenly my feet were swept from under me and I collapsed on my stomach. I was getting back up when I felt a foot push me back down to the ground. I grunted and turned my head to see who it was who had knocked me down. It was Aiden.
I remember he wasn't to happy with me when I said to leave him behind. I glared at Aiden as he smirked down at me.
Saying nothing he pulled out his sword and dug it into my back, stabbing it into my spine. I yelled out in agony and could feel the blood pouring out from my wound. He tugged the sword out and brought it back down into my right thigh. I clenched my teeth in pain, not wanting to shout out anymore. I knew it was all a nightmare but it felt so real.
He forcefully ripped it out and grabbed my left arm, tucking it behind my back and bringing his sword down through my hand into my back again. I realized he was getting dangerously close to some of the most vital parts of my body. He pulled the sword out again and grinned seeing all the pain I was in.
Before I knew what happened he stabbed me in one of my lungs. I started coughing up blood, wheezing hardly. He removed his foot and I used the last of my strength to bring myself into off the ground. Blood was every where. And before I could do anything else I was finished. He brought his sword in through my chest straight to my heart. I collapsed and all the light and things around me faded into darkness.
~end nightmare~
I jumped up holding my chest. I feel around my body to find I have no wounds or stabs. I sigh and rub my eyes, tiredly. I never could have imagined anything that bad. I plopped down onto the bed looking out the window. It was still dark out, almost as if the sky wanted to stay that way forever. Mobs were roaming around the calm green grass. I got back up off my bed and walked out of my room quietly, making sure not to wake anyone while sneaking down the hallway.
I walked out to the main room and walked over to the trapdoor. Before I went out I made sure I had my sword, just in case. Looking around the dark room I lift the trapdoor and slip onto the ladder below shutting the trapdoor behind me.
I slide down the ladder with ease and rub my eyes when I get down. Shaking my head I begin to walk towards the town. One of us had to take a night stroll at least once a night, to make sure nothing bad was going on in the town during the night. It was a good thing it was my turn to look around town, I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep anyways. I noticed a few groups of mobs heading towards some homes. I pull out my sword and run over to the closest group of mobs, ready to attack. I notice they're all zombies.
With a swift slice with my enchanted diamond sword, they all vanished and were replaced with rotten flesh. I smiled and ran to the next group of mobs which was a mix with zombies and skeletons. The skeletons turned towards me and began to fire arrows towards me.
Sliding below the arrows I knocked the piles of bones off there legs. Another swipe with my sword and they were gone. I swiftly got up and flipped around striking all the zombies with my sword. I noticed there was only one more group of mobs to go.
I ran over and quickly killed all the monsters before they could get to any of the homes.
~*********************~
I sighed leaning on the wall of the temple. I was totally exhausted. I had been fighting monsters all night to try to get my mind off my nightmare. I had put on my armor a little early so I could be ready for the day. I slowly began to shut my eyes before opening them again. 'I can't go back to sleep' I thought.
The sun was rising and I needed to be ready for the day to see what it had in store for me and the rest of our group. Ivor came back maybe a few days ago and decided to take a break from adventuring so he could write all he learned down and get prepared for even more adventurers.
I yawned lightly. The sun was slowly waking everyone up. Which surely ment Petra was already up and trying to get the rest of the gang up. Lukas probably would be the next to get outta bed. Then Olivia, who would start making pancakes for everyone. Axel was always the last to wake up. He would have to be woken up by Petra. Which was pretty entertaining for the rest of us to watch.
I smiled looking at the sunrise. The colors mixed together beautifully. Maybe today would bring my mind off of the horrid pictures from my nightmare. I sighed and got up. Today will be a good day.
