I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath

As the song finished I turned off my car and I walk in my house after school. I Also pick up a letter that is addresed to me. I look down to see who its from I almost never get mail unless its from my... dad. Before I open the letter I begin to think about how much I miss my old life before he left.

I love and miss you i can't wait to see you in 3 weeks. I hope you have beenbehaving for your mother. I also hope that your summer has been amazing. i have been doing great but miss being with you and your mother but only 21 days left. xo

I walk to my room quikly to set all of my school stuff down before going to find my mom. MOM!!!! I yelled i was soo excited. Dad is comming home in 3 weeks!!!! As I yelled even louder beacuse I couldn't help to think that in three weeks my life would be going back to normal. Back to it being me my mom and my dad together watching movies going out to eat and just being together just like before he was deployed.
I just have to survive 3 more weeks without him.
I wonder around the house to find my mom to see if she had heard the good news!
"Mom!!" I yelled
"Hi honey I am in my room." she sounded like she was crying
"Mom whats wrong"
"Honey i have some bad news......."
I stand and wait cofused
".........your dad he was killed" she sobs so much I almost didnt understand
I started balling " Mom that cant be true, he sent me a letter saying he would be home in 3 weeks it.... it... cant be true, see..I sniffle I have it right here"
"I am so sorry honey but look at the date it was sent" she cries as we hug each other a ball.
I look at the date it was sent it ws two and half weeks ago.
