I followed Nathen down the stairs and to there dinning room. He talked to me I mostly nodded or didn't respond he didn't seam to mind thogh he just kept talking. I was thinking if i could talk to him and maby make my first friend here. The worst thing is i dont know what to say so I tend to just stay quiet. When we get down to dinner I sit between Nathen and Mrs. Brooks for a couple minutes we are all quiet then one of the boys said
"I can't help it but why is she here?!" he said
"PATRICK! Dont be rude" she scolds I just look down at my plate and play with my food about to cry but i was not gonna let them see me room.
"I am not very hungry may i be excused" I whisper to Mrs. Brooks
"Thank you" I whisper back
She smiles and then says I will be up to your room after dinner to talk to you is that okay honey?" she asks
"Of course" I wisper back
"Do you know how to get to your room" she asks
"I'll figure it out" I wisper
She tells me how to get to my room and I tell her thank you and I head up to my room beacuse I really just wanted to talk to my mom now so i pull out to my room once i found it. I quicly dial her number.
I waited for her to pick up but it gose to voice mail so I decide to leave a message for her. i say
"Hey mom i just wanna say I love and miss you i am trying to adjust but it is gonna be hard i love you soo much please call me back soon. I will be waiting to hear from you i miss you tons! Hugs and kisses I love you don't forget to call me back.
I hung up I was crying. I hoped she would call me back soon cause i really need to hear her voice. I sit on my bed and pull out the book I had benn reading it was called Divergent it was such a good book I began to read. Like 10 minutes pass and I hear a knock on my door. So i get up to see who it is it is Mrs.Brookes she comes in and we began to talk
"Hi" I say
"Hello" she says and takes a seat on my bed
"You wanted to talk to me?" I ask
"Ya I am sorry if the boys a freaking you out. They are just curious i guess thats what i get for not telling them that you were coming but i ddn't know if you wanted them to know why you are here " she say
"You can tell them if you want I dont care" I say
"Okay do you whant me to give you the papers about field hockey and school they sent information about both for you" she says
"Yes please" I say beacuse i knew that would take my mind off dinner
She hands me the informathion and I set it on the desk in my room.
"Do you like your room?" She asks
"Yes I love it" I say
"You do?" she says
"yes" I reply
"Did you look in the closet yet" she asked looking excited
"No? I just put my clothes in the dresser" I said confused
"Go look in the closet" she say excidedly
"Umm... Okay?"
When I open the door their is tons of clothes and shoes
"You did not have to do that" I say
"I know you mother said you would say that when I asked for the size clothes and shoes and what you liked but I don't have any daugters so i bought you all kinds of clothes i was just so excited" she states
"Thank you" was all i could say
"Me and you will go school supplies shoping soon too"
"Um... Okay but really i can just have my mok send me my old binders and stuff" I say
"No I think it will be fun to have some girl time it will be fun please" she begged
"Um.. Okay"
We talked for a little while then she left. Iwas so happy that Mrs. Brooks liked me she was so sweet and nice. She was making yhis change so easy for me. When she left i started to look at the panflet about the school it looked like a really nice school. But souded huge it said there were two floors and has about 4,000 students that is huge compared to my old school. After looking at it a little while longer I pick up the field hockey panflet. It had all the information I needed. It siad tryouts started on Augest 18th and went to Augest 23 then they would make cuts and start practice as a team the 25th. I had to have papers filled out and physical by the so i would talk to Mrs. Brooks about it today it is the 6th of Augest so i had time it talked about how they had an indoor team to. I was so excited I really hoped I was good enogh to make the team. I hoped that i would make friends on the team beacuse that would make the first day of school way easier. Maby i'll see it the care if I practice in their yard I saw a soccer goal that could work for field hockey I will probably still have to case down the ball thogh but it might stop a few. I have my stick and a broght all the field hockey balls i had so there were like 20 or more.
I looked at my phone it was like 9 here but in New York it was like midnight so i was exausted so i decided it was a good time to go to bed beacuse my body is still in New York time.
**The Next Morning**
When I woke up it was like 8. Nobody but Mr and Mrs Brokks was up so i decided to ask if i could go for a run.
"Good mornig" they say " your up early"
"I guess but in New York it's like 11" I say
"I forgot you must be use to New York time" said Mr. Brooks
"Yup but I don't mind at all it's nice to be up early" I say
"alright" they say
"I was wondering do you care if I go for a run"
"Normally I wouldent care but you dont know your way so i dont mind it you run other days but wait untill you know your way around please" Mrs. Brooks says
"Alright I understand" I say
"I am sorry" she says
"It's fine i was also wondering if i could practice field hockey on the soccer goal later?" I ask
"Of course" she says
"Thanks" I say
I turn to go upstairs and get dressed but i ran right into someone " I am so sorry umm...." damn i forgot another name
"Adam" he says as he moves out of my way
I go upstairs to get ready i put on my usuall olfit of a shirt shorts and converse i grab my phone and head down stairs. I see nathen in the kitchen and I go to say hi but when I go to say hi it is his twin Patrick the one from dinner the night before.
"Hi I am sorry for scaring you the night before i just let my curiosity get the best of me" He says
"It's fine" I say
"So how do you like it here so far?" he asks
"It's Diferent" I say
"Do you want me and Nathen to show you around today?" he asks
"Yeah sure that would be great" I say
He looks happy I thought. Well now i will know my way around here.
