chapter 8

Souls pov

I looked all over death city looking for maka but I just can't seem to find her. I was running through the forest at the moment when I run past a ledge and something catches my eye, I stop I my tracks and back track. It was maka.

"There you are" I shouted slightly out of breath

"Hm? oh hey soul"

"What are you doing out here I've been worried sick"

"Sorry I've just been...thinking" she said looking out at death city

"What 'bout?" I asked jumping up next to her and sitting

"Well I was thinking about my 'problem' that have and I wanna try to cure it"

"Are you sure you might risk getting worst and actually dying"

"Ya I know I just want to try cause either way I'm a goner" I was taken back but her mellow reaction to death

"But why are you so mellow this is serious?"

"Ya I know but why freak because its fate and why try to mess with it?"

"Ya I guess" me and maka sat there in total silence I look down at her hand and took it in my. she looked down at our hands than back up at me and smiled. I looked at her emerald eyes and leaned in closer and planted a kiss on her light pink lips and pulled away and rested my head on hers

"Just know ill always be by your side. Forever and always"

~1 week later~

I was in the hospital pacing back and forth when I felt a light hand on my shoulder I looked back to see tsubaki. She gave me a light smile

"She's going to be ok. She strong shes face worst than this" she's right she'll be ok. I mean we deafened asura...she'll be ok...right? the doctor walked in

"Will she be ok?"

"Well we aren't really sure but will know with in 24 hours"

"Can we see her?"

"Yes but please be quiet she needs her sleep in order to recover" he said looking down at some papers. We walked back to her room I put my hand on the knob and took a deep breath and open the door and we all walked in maka was there sleeping on the bed and the heart monitor beeped every few seconds showing she was alive

"Hey soul were gonna leave you two here alone" I nodded at tsubaki and they all left

I pulled a chair up next to maka and sat down taking her hand in mine careful not to hurt her or cause her to wake

"Look maka I know you probably can't hear but I just wanted to say...I love you and I'll be by your side forever and always if you need me ill be right here waiting for you and ask you fight back please don't let death win..." I look down and felt a hot tear flow down my cheek

"I can't lose you to..."

Makas pov

I'm in a black room and I can hear someone's voice...it's familiar. I've heard it before...soul?

"Look maka I know you probably can't hear but I just wanted to say...I love you and I'll be by your side forever and always if you need me ill be right here waiting for you and ask you fight back please don't let death win..."

"I can't lose you to..." Lose me to? who has lost? GAH m-my head it h-hurts. Everything flashes white and my eyes shot open and my breath was heavy

"Maka?" my shot to soul ad I imidietly hugged him he was taken back but hugged me back

"Soul..."

"Are you ok?" I pulled back half way and looked him in the eye and kissed him tired of the space between us again he was shocked but kissed back I pulled away and felt a unwanted tear fall down my cheek

"Are you ok maka?"

"I would never leave you soul" I hugged him again burning my head in his chest

"Maka I- thank you" he hugged me back
