I hesitated walking into the schools cafeteria. Other than the couple kids I met in classes, I had only had a real conversation with Drew. I started to walk over to an empty table when I heard my name being yelled across the room.
I turned around to see Drew waving me over from a table wth what looked like it consumed of jocks and bimbos. But what choices did I have? To eat alone or too make some friends. A smile made it's way on my face and I walked over to the table just in time to see Drew pulling out a chair for me.
"Hey everyone..." I said quietly, but was soon greeted with everyone except some girl. She had long blonde hair like mine, perfect makeup and big boobs. I ignored her and started to sit down when a girl with brown hair came up to me.
"oh em gee!" She screeched, " I absolutely love you hair! It's so pretty!" She said taking a stand of my hair between her fingers. "I'm Molly!"
"Hey Molly! And thank you" I said laughing.
Through lunch everyone was so nice to me except that one blonde girl. I'd have to ask Drew about her later.
The lunch bell rang and everyone started to make their way out of the cafeteria to go to their next period class.
Getting up to go to class, Molly came up to me and linked our arms together with a big smile on her face. “Hey Anna!” She said excitedly, “Is it okay if I call you that?”
“Yeah, sure I don’t mind” I replied with a smile on my face.
“Awesome, I can tell we’re going to be really good friends!”
“Totally! It’ll be nice to have a friend around here since I don’t know anyone.”
“Hey what are you doing after school today?”
“Um I don’t think I’m doing anything, why?”
“Would you like to come to my place and hang out?”
“Oh sure! Find me after class and we’ll switch phone numbers!”
At the end of the day I went over to Molly’s locker so we could exchange phone numbers and I made my way home, praying to God that I’ll actually have a new friend at this school.
