A snowy owl with scatered black marks gave Lily her Hogwarts acceptance letter. " It's real isn't it? " Petunia whined. Petunia wrote a letter to Albus Dumbledore asking if she could also study there too. Even though he responded kindly, Petunia felt hurt and left out, which also in part could have been because her parents were so proud of Lily's talents. From that point on, Petunia wanted nothing to do with magic or the wizarding world and frequently called Lily a "freak". "...I'm sorry, Tuney, I'm sorry!
