Phoenix's POV
(Six days after the tournament)

I was walking in the Emerald Forest when a bullhead landed in front of me. A snowflake insignia was on the port (that's the left side if I remember correctly) side of the aircraft informed me of a Schnee on board.
The door opened and revealed Winter Schnee, a second in command of the Atlesian military and two Atlas soldiers.

"Winter Schnee, to what might the second in command of one of the most powerful militaries on Remnant want with little old me?"

Winter: Mr. Schnee wants you to be brought in.

My frown showed that I was uninterested.

"How about a deal?"

Winter: What kind of deal?

"Beat me in one on one combat in the area of my choosing. You win, I go with you to your Daddy dearest. I win, I walk free."

Winter: I agree to your terms. When and where will the battle take place?

I smirked a drew the Mortal Combat coin. "Right here," I flipped the coin into the air, "in Mortal Combat."

The coin hit the ground and the arena appeared out of no where.

"Here are the rules: there are none. Any damage you gain is instantly healed but stamina is not recovered and if you die, you will be brought back after the fight. Understand?"

Winter: Yes.

"Then let's... begin!"

Announcer: MORTAL COMBAT!

The music started to play and I entered my primal instincts, my claws extended and I entered my fighting stance.

Announcer: FIGHT!!

Winter summoned an ice Beowulf and it charged. I smirked. "So a conjure class fighter. She probably knows a few sword techniques, so I should be careful." I thought as I sliced the ice in three and charged at Winter.

"X-ray."

I leaped into the air and slammed my elbows into her skull cracking it then stabbed her in the gut, finishing it with a double punch to the rib cage, breaking them. I jumped back as she charged me with her rapier and stabbed me into gut, she flinched as I smiled.

"This is nothing compared to the pain that I had to endure two years ago."

I yanked the sword out and tossed her into a pillar. She charged one last time.

"Cross Counter."

I parried the sword and punched Winter across the arena. She stood up, dazed.

Announcer: FINISH HER!

I walked up to her and placed my fist under her head.

"Fatality technique number three: Count To Three."
"One!"

The claw in the left side popped up.
"Two!"

The claw in the right side popped up.
"And... Three."

The center blade pierced her head and I ripped off her head.

Announcer: Phoenix Tai Lung wins. Fatality!

The arena vanished and Winter stood back up with small scar on her chin, right where she "died".

Winter: You said that all injuries would be healed.

"While that maybe true, I forgot to mention that there would a scar where the kill happened. It will sting ever so slightly when I'm near by in a twenty foot radius. I'll take my leave now. Good day, Ms. Schnee."

I left a shocked Winter and continued to walk until a voice behind me made me jump.

???: Quite the fight there, Phoenix.

I turned around and extended my talons at the guest. He didn't even flinch when I stopped three inches from his his face.

"Who are you?"

Ozpin: I'm Professor Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy.

I lowered my talons but was still in a position to strike.

"What do you want from me?"

Ozpin: I would like you to join my school and use those skills against the Grimm and the forces of Darkness.

"All I ask is that I'm on a solo team. I don't do well with others."

Ozpin: Very well.
