Ch 2: Leaving Nothing

Harmonies POV

I sighed as I put the final quill in my trunk. Wow, that's sad I am literally leaving nothing. And when I say nothing, I mean it. I've been staying at this muggle hotel for 9 months while they repair Hogwarts, and let me tell you it's boring as hell. Its close to Diagon Alley so I visit there a bunch, but it's not the same as spending time with my family. After the war the Ministry tracked down my parents and tried to restore their memory, key word TRIED. The spell had been in place too long and it wouldn't allow them to fully repossess all their memories. Things like where they lived their actual birthday, their wedding day, me. Those things were all missing. We tried to explain but they wouldn't except it. They even called a mental institution claiming we were "mad as dogs".
Anyway I'm heading back to Hogwarts this year, Alone. Ginny of course is returning, but Harry and Ron are going to work in the ministry and it won't be the same without them. I'll miss them but it will be nice to make some friends out side the "Golden Trio". Very few people are returning this year and only about 25 first years are starting.
"Bam."
A knock on the door startled me out of my thoughts, it must be Hagrid and Ginny coming to get me for school shopping. Sliding the last deadbolt on my trunk into place, I walked over to the door and opened it to a huge hug from Hargid and than another one from Ginny. Choruses of "I missed you!" and" It's great to see you!" were passed around. Hagrid grabbed my trunk and I grabbed Crookshanks as we headed out the door. We were walking down the stairs to check me out when Crookshanks saw a rat in a corner and jumped out of my arms, knocking me off balance and into a pair of strong arms at the bottom of the stairs. As I looked up into the pure grey eyes...
