There are several things about Coxsackie Correctional Facility that confuses me. For one, why are there so many lunch periods. There is more than enough room for everyone. It also confuses me how they have different areas because of the crimes committed. But the thing that really bothers me is occurring right now. Every day, we are forced to go outside. Yes, I understand that it is illegal to keep us from exercising at least once a day, but you'd think they would have alternatives to going outside in the middle of winter.

I exit the heated building into the whipping winds of the outdoors. The frozen drops of snow drift down, gently landing on my cheeks. Quickly, I wipe some snow off of a wooden bench on which I can sit. As minutes pass, I draw figures on the table in front of me. The bench becomes more numbing as moments pass.

Soon enough, I see a familiar blonde boy walk outside. He walks straight over to me, sitting down to my left.

"Hello Shyla," he greets me with a small smile in my direction.

"Hi," I say, wrapping my arms around my body.

"You cold?" Alex asks me with his eyebrow raised.

"Just a bit," I remark. By the chattering of my teeth, he could tell that I am clearly lying. He quickly takes of his jacket, wrapping it around my shoulders. He would have a jacket, his brother works here. I completely forgot about what Harry said. He couldn't be that bad, could he? For the short time that I have know him, nothing has seemed fishy. To be honest, if anyone here is intimidating, it's definitely Ace. Maybe he was just trying to scare me into only trusting him, but that doesn't seem logical, does it? I don't know what Ace's problem with Alex is, but it is his issue and not mine. I'm not going to let their disagreements keep me from being friendly to both of them.

"How have you been?" I ask him, knowing how bad this place actually is.

"As good as I can be for here," He laughs, as I feel the same way.

"It's kinda dumb, the idea of prison," I tell him. "I mean, I know you don't wnt criminals roaming the steets, but locking them up in cages is not goinig to make them more sane."

"I know how you feel, and the worst part is that several people didn't do anything to belong here," he says.

"I know, who do you think doesn't belong here?" I ask him. He gives me a very short qnd simple answer.

'You."

After that conversation, the two of us sat in silence with his arm around me unti our gaurds came, summoning us back inside.

Harry's P.O.V.

"How are you doing today?" the psychologist, Tami, asks me.

"Loads better than last month," I say with a small smile as her mouth slightly drops open. Each month we are required to see Tami, and I had to come to my December session today because she is not here Christmas week.

"Why's that Harry?" She asks me with a grin. She told me in our last sesion that I was her favorite. Tami didn't have a specific reason for liking me, he just said that she thinks I'm smart, that I know what they are up to, which I do. And for that, she likes seeing someone normal-ish for once.

"Call me Ace," I inform her. "There is this new girl here"

"You should not be happy that sameone committed a crime,' she tells me, her smile shrinking into a frown.

"You see, she was put in the cell next to me. So now I finally have someone to talk to," I explain to her.

"Can you carry a conversation with her? Does she seem sane?" The lady questions me.

"That's the thing about her, I don't think she committed a crime, just accused for something she didn't do."

And with that sentence spoken, Shyla's gaurd enter's the room.

"Evan went home sick, I'll be taking Harrry back to his cell," he informs the two of us.

"The name is Ace," I tell him harshly.

"Good-bye Ace. Great session today," Tami says as I exit her office. I actually really like her office, it's the only place where gaurds cannot follow you. Although, she does have a button to call one instantly.

Smith grabs my wrist, dragging me out of the room. As his cool fingers make contact with my skin, I know he jut came in from outside.

"Was she outside? Was she with him," I say, scoffing when referring to his brother.

"Who?" he asks me, acting as if he didn't know what I was talking about.

"You know exactly who," I shout at him before slamming him rouughly into the walk. Smith is indeed strong, but I have always been a little stronger. I'm a little stronger than almost everyone here.

"Y-Yeah," He finally tells me.

"Listen now and listen good. I want you to keep your brother away from Shyla, do you understand?" I interrogate him. With no response, I yell even louder. "Do you understand?"

"Yes, I do," he tells me softly.

'I'm sorry Smith, I just don't want her getting hurt. She is the only reason I can smile anymore," I tell him as I enter my cell. I really have nothing against him, just his brother.

"It's alright, she's really hot," he tells me after locking the door.

"Don't even go there Smith!" I yell jokingly at him as he exits the area. I hear a soft voice from the cell next to mine ask a question

"Who was he talking about?"

"No one Shyla, but I need to talk to you," I say trying to stay calm about the situation. Half the reason I'm in here is because of my anger issues.

"About what?" she asks innocently. She's so blind when it comes to life, so pure. That's why I'm so worried about her with Alex. She will never see through his games.

"Alex. I thought I told you not to talk to him," I say harshly.

"There is nothing wrong with him Harry," she tells me. Something about the way she says my name, my real name calms me. Most people I feel like hitting when they call me Harry but her, I can't stand to not hear her voice.

"Can't you just trust me? Don't you believe me when I say he is horrible?" I ask her softly, almost scared for her answer.

'I can trust you, but I have no idea of what either of you have done, and he seems so nice," she rambles to me.

"Pease Shyla, I'm begging you. I would never lie to you. You are the only person I care about," I plead.

"If you tell me why he is so bad, I will stop talking to him," she bargins.

"Deal."

{I'm so so so so horrible! I had a a cheer competition until like 10 last night so it was like midnight when I went to bed. So thanks for sticking with me through my crap haha. Thanks to all the people voting and commenting and especially to the ones who fanned me! Anyway, I gave you a bit of Harry's P.O.V. to make up for my lateness :)

Question: What's your biggest pet peeve?

Mine's when people lie when you clearly know the truth.
