part 3 goodbye New York

(Sunday)
it was 10:39 and Sophia was officially done packing everything, she walked around the house and let all the memories come back to her it was like there were happening all over again she remembered when she first moved into the house, when she had her first tooth fall out she seen everything, that made her cry. Sophia needed some fresh air she went outside and walked around New York for the last time. When she got back it was 1:09am she opened the door carefully and as she was going upstairs she seen the kitchen light was on she walked over there and over heard her mom on the phone
(M) "ohh babe you're to sweet"
All Sophia could hear was a man mumbling
(M)" yes, we will be there first thing tomorrow"
Sophia got a little closer and was able to hear a man say "Chicago is as beautiful as you" Sophia carefully walked backwards, step by step Sophia could feel her heart break. who was she talking to? Was I moving because my mom is dating another guy? Her mom said it was because of her job .She went up stairs and tried to go to bed. But she couldn't stop thinking what she overheard she finally fell asleep. Sophia woke up at 7:00 by loud banging it was the moving truck Sophia looked in the corner of her room all her boxes of her stuff were gone she got up outta bed fast and grabbed her phone her mom said "hey darling go get dressed we're moving now"
(S )"give me my fucking stuff then"
(M)"Sophia stop it"
Sophia grabbed her box and took it with her to her room and got dressed she but on black and white nike shoes and straightened her long brown hair and put on black lulu lemon leggings and a Santa Cruz crop top sweater and did her eyebrows and eyeliner with a little wing and mascara it was 9:07 when they got in the car and were on there way Sophia listened to music and snapped people she told all her friends what was happing

(S) to Chicago
(Y)when are you coming back
(S) never probably
(Y)why didn't we hang out you said if one of us ever had to move we were gunna have a goodbye sleepover
(S) my mom wouldn't let me she said it was best for the both of us. I uh I gotta go bye
(Y) omg Sophia please no your my bestfr
(S) I'm losing Service bye ily yasi
Sophia turned of her phone and just listened to music she knew if she looked at yasi's texted she would cry her eyes were already watering up.
