CHALICE
"Hun, Time to wake up. Your going to Landon's house today." My mom shouted through the house. I got up and got dressed and brushed my teeth. I took the bag I had and put it in the car without saying a word to my parents. They drove me to Kaylie's house and I got out and walked through the door without waving goodbye as they backed away from the house. It wasn't anything special. A five bedroom home, a moderately sized yard. I've been to my best friends house before. But somehow this was different, Alien.
"Chalice, I'm sorry." Kaylie apologized for me having to marry her brother as we walked up to the spare bedroom that was now my room.
"Whatever." I sighed. According to those at school who wasn't in love with Landon, He was a pompous jerk, and always had been.
I went to put my laptop on the desk in the corner of the big room. The room itself was as big as my mom's master bedroom, which was pretty big. I had an attached bathroom and my own balcony. A big oak bed was in the middle of it all, on the wall attaching my room to Kaylie's room with a door, like a hotel room. I set up my laptop and went to collapse on my bed. Kaylie had told me that from now on all three of us were going to be home schooled. Her dad, who was now my legal guardian, was going to pull Kaylie, Landon, and I out of public school and have a private tutor some to the house every other day. I guess this is the one good thing that comes out of this situation. Through my open door I saw Landon walk by then glance into my room. Then he glared and went on down the hall.
"KAYLIE!!!" I screamed. She walked into my room through the connecting door in the wall.
"What?" she asked.
"I'm bored." I told her. she nodded.
"Me too."
"Well, we can't really do anything until my dad comes home. Want to go swimming out back?" She suggested. I nodded. She left to change into her bathing suite. The only one I had was a small black and hot pink 'tattooed' bikini. I shrugged it on and grabbed a towel from the bathroom. I ran outside and jumped into the warm water of the pool. Summer was just around the corner, I was ready to just relax before I go off to college.
"God, your all wet." Kaylie said as she approached the water.
"That's what happens when you're in water." I said in a DUH kind of way.
"Of course." She hit the palm of her hand to her forehead. I laughed. The Landon came out wearing his swim trunks, showing off his AMAZING body. I quickly looked away and stopped laughing.
"What? Never seen a half naked hottie before?" Landon smirked.
"No, I've never seen someone so ugly with such a hot body." I hissed back at him.
"Shut up." He said with nothing as a comeback and he jumped into the pool, splashing water all of Kaylie, who was tanning.
"LANDON!" She screamed at him. He smiled and laughed, splashing more water at her as she approached the pool.
"Come one Kay! The water is really warm." I smiled.
"UGH! Fine." She reluctantly went around and got into the pool using the water slide. (its not a real waterslide, its just a mini one.)
"See, isn't it perfect, well, besides the fact that that thing is here." I pointed to Landon. This had happened many times, me at Kaylie's house making fun of her twin brother (who is also a junior). This time though, it was different.
"Did you hear that?" Kaylie asked, breaking the silence.
"What?" I asked.
"DADDY"S HOME!" She screamed leaping out of the pool and running towards the gate leading into the front yard. I followed her and Landon followed me.
"DAD!" She hugged him, getting his khakis and polo shirt wet. He laughed a little at his little girl and smiled happily.
"Hey you guys." He greeted the rest of us.
"Mr. Harrison." I said, nodding my head. He waved us inside. I wrapped my towel tighter around me and sat on one of the stools next to the kitchen counter.
"So, as you know, school will be ending this Friday. So as a present from me you all are off starting today!" He surprised us.
"OK." I said.
"But," he said. Here comes the catch, I thought painfully. "Landon and Chalice have to do something together. And I guess Kaylie can come to, but she has to get a different room."
"What?" I shouted disappointed.
"Well, I've booked a cruise for you, it leaves on Monday. It goes to Cancun, stops for a week, then comes back." He said. I sighed, whatever, free cruise.
"Landon and Chalice have to share a room, and I've told them not to give you a second bed." He announced. My jaw dropped in shock, and then I realized who I would have to be next to, then I took into consideration his body, and that made me blush. So, maybe, this could work out a little.

As you have noticed, I changed the time to the beginning of summer. Pretend that's how it was in the last chapters too...ok? Or pretend its been like, a couple months. HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!
