I woke up, cradiling Chalice in my arms. Her black hair was Shiny in the morning light that was streaming through the round window in the wall. She shifted and I closed my eyes quickly, pretending to sleep.
"I'm not stupid, your not breathing slowly." She mumbled. I laughed quietly.
"Feel better?" I asked her. She nodded.
"Considering only last night I was puking out my guts and brushing my teeth every single second, ya I feel a lot better.
There goes my ring
It might as well have been shattered

Her phone rang and she picked it up and pitched it at the wall.
"What did you do that for?" I asked.
"My ex boyfriend, that's his ringtone."
"Maybe? Why does he want things to work out?"
"Ya, he thinks everything he does can be fixed by saying sorry. A month after I learned he was cheating on me, AGAIN, he stood outside my window and played me this song. Secondhand Serenade is my favorite band." She told me and cuddled closer to me.
"Landon," She said, "I'm hot." I moved over and stopped touching her.
"NOOO, come back over here, just take the top covers off." She instructed me. I took off all the covers and threw them on the floor until there was only a thin sheet covering us, then I went over and put my arms around her again.
"I don't want to get up today." She told me.
"Me either."
"Let's just have a lazy day in the room." She suggested.
"Chalice, this is a vacation, everyday is supposed to be a lazy day." I told her.
"Ya, but....it's a hassle haviing a boyfriend on vacation."
"Then don't have a boyfriend. Don't you have like, a fiancee or something?"
"Ehh, ya."
"Everyone get decent! IM COMING IN!" Kaylie screamed. I went to the other side of the bed, startled.
"So what, you're embarassed by your Fiance?" Chalice asked me. I smiled at her and shook my head. She scooted over to me.
"So what? You guys all lovey and stuff now?" Kay asked. I shook my head.
"No Dumby, we're only friends." Chalice explained. Kaylie laughed.
"Sure, just friends. And I'm the queen of shiba." Kaylie said. We all laughed.
"So you wanna go to the pool?" Kay asked Chalice. She hid her head under the covers and groaned.
"CHAY CHAY!" Kaylie whined. Chay Chay is what Kaylie used to call Chalice when we were little. I smiled, that was my favorite nickname.
"Let's have a slumber party in the basement." Kaylie Screamed.
"AHHHH! Get out!" Chalice screamed and threw a pillow at kay. I chuckled. Chalice turned over and snuggled into my chest.
"Come-on, out of bed missy." Kaylie said.
"Mumph fump hum hum" Chalice mumbled into my pecks. I kissed the top of her head...in a friend kind of way. BECAUSE I DON"T LIKE HER.
