I let my curls flow down and put on some white flats. "ALLIE COME ON" I yell for her in the bathroom and she comes running out brushing her teeth. After about 5 minutes she had her book bag and we got into the car. I was dreading to see Liam. What was he going to do? Are you still together? I want these questions answered but I don't want to talk to him. I pulled into my parking place and got my books. "Yay were here" Allie rolls her eyes. I type in my password to the very back door and walk in with Allie. I unlock my classroom door and let Allie do whatever until her friends got here. "Rawrr" I hear a little voice say and I look down to see Grayson. I jumped slightly the reason being I didn't even hear him come in.
"Grayson? GREY!" I heard Liam yelling and I could see the tears form in Grayson's eyes. I picked him up and put him on my hip.
"Baby what's a matter?" I say wiping Grayson's tears away.
"Daddy has been mean all weekend Wory. He's been super ill since papaw took me to church" Grey said as he laid his head on my chest. I sat in my chair rocking Grayson back and forth until Liam came into my room. "What the fuck is this Liam? He came to me crying" I whisper yelled He looked at his feet then at Grayson, who was sound asleep on my chest. "You know what? I took my anger out on him! I was so pissed at myself because I let my past get in the way of us, Rory. I-i used to be a hump and dump guy Rory, until I had Grayson. He changed my life and just hearing you say that you heard I was a "hump and dump" guy killed me, because someone got to tell you who I used to be before I could." He knelt down rubbing Grayson's back and looked up at me.
"I'm sorry I was a dick Rory, give me another chance" he begged
"Okay" I said pecking his lips.
"Daddy?" Grayson rubbed his eyes
"Hey buddy" Liam said snifflin "I'm sorry daddy was mean buddy" he said taking his son and hugging him. Liam and Grayson sat in my room until the bell rung and kids started piling in. "Come on buddy, daddy has to teach a class" Liam says as I walk them out. Liam looks both ways before pecking my lips real quick and going next door.
Class finally ended and I heard little feet paddling into my room. "Hi Wory" Grayson said hopping into my lap. "Hey buddy" I say tickling his sides. I gave Grayson some blank paper and some crayons while I stared to plan for tomorrow's class. "Oh daddy told me to tell you that he went to go get wunch for us wory" Grayson said changing out his crayon.
"Thanks for telling me babe" I said smiling at him
Grayson continued to color until I heard his little feet paddling over to the door. I looked back and saw Liam with a couple of bags. I put down my pen and went over to help him.
"Wunch wunch" Grayson yelled while jumping.
"Here buddy" Liam said handing Grayson his happy meal.
"Here buddy" I picked him up and sat him at my desk. I made sure everything important was put away incase they're were an accident.
"Thanks for the food" I say once I reach Liam again.
"It was no problem" he says pulling me closer by the waist and I giggled. He leaned in and pecked my lips so Grayson wouldn't see. We sat there eating our lunch until there was a knock on my door.
"Uh hey Miss Evans. Sorry to interrupt... I had a question about the homework." One of my favorite students came in and asked.
I got up and wiped my mouth with a napkin then went over with her.
"So what does it mean when the question says 'Describe what happened when Romeo and Juliet fell in love'?" She asks pointing at the paper.
"Like describe what you think Romeo was feeling if that makes since? And vise versa" I say with a smile.
"Ohh okay! Thanks Rory" she says with a smile and walks out the door.
"Way to dow mommy" Grayson yells
"Grayson. Lower your voice babe" Liam says softly
"Sowwy daddy" he pouts
I walk back over and pick Grayson up.
"Tell daddy to shut his hole" I say blowing raspberries on his belly. He was just giggling and squirming, and Liam joined too.
"I love day like this with you" Liam says as the bell rings
"Daddy" Grayson pulled at Liam's work pants
"Yes, Son?" He say looking down
"I stay with mommy?" He asks with puppy eyes. Liam looks at me looking for my approval, and I nod. Soon enough kids start coming in my room and I give Liam a quick peck then he leaves. I pick Grayson up and take him to the front of the room with me.
"Hey guys!" I say with a smile. This is my honors class and they're pretty chill.
"Hey Rory!" Some of them say.
"So guys since you're my honors class, and are like 3 days ahead of my other classes I'm gonna let you guys have a study period thing. Also we have a visitor!" I say kissing Grayson's cheek.
"This is Grayson, Mr. Payne's son" I say and he waves then hides his face. The class awed then I let them do whatever. I let Grayson color and draw on the board until Liam knocked on the door.
"Hey, Evans can I see you for a minute?" He asks and points at Grayson.
"Aye I'll be right back, Allie watch the class" I say and go out into the hall.
"Hey babe" he says kissing my cheek. "My dads here to pick Grayson up" he says as he takes Grayson.
"Why!" I whine
"Cause I've got something planned for tonight" he winks and takes Grayson to the office
