Liam's parents left about 7:30 to take Grayson back home. I was holding my little tiny baby in my arms while Liam was passed out on the couch in the room. I have to give Liam some credit, he was helpful through this whole process.
"I think the baby might be a little hungry, do you want to try to breastfeed?" She asked and I nodded sitting up as high as I could.
The nurse helped me out a little bit and got Audrey to kinda latch on.
"So since she doesn't know how to suck, you'll have to kinda guide her to it. You'll have to physically put it in her mouth and she'll get the hang of it" the nurse explained. If I may say so myself that sounded very dirty.
I did as the nurse said and Audrey kinda got the hang of it. Liam woke up and he was absolutely amazed at what was happening. The nurse was still in there helping me and Liam was literally sitting beside me with his mouth open amazed.
"This feel funny" I look at Liam
"I'd think so" Liam chuckled then kissed his daughters head.
"Okay, I think she's good now. We'll feed her in about an hour? Is that okay?" The nurse asked writing it on the whiteboard on the wall
"That's great" I say when she comes back to my side
"So you see how she stopped moving her mouth? That's how you know she's done eating" the nurse said
"Now we're going to burp her" the nurse said placing Audrey on my shoulder carefully. I carefully pat her back and I hear a small little burp from my baby's mouth.
"Alrighty, I'll check in soon" the nurse smiled and left again.
"That was cool" Liam said holding the baby
"It felt weird" I say as I fix myself. A couple of minutes there was a knock on the door.
"Hi, baby girl" my mom and dad walked in
"How are you doing?" My mom asked pushing my hair out of my face
"I'm a little sore, but other than that I'm doing okay" I say and she nods.
Liam stood up and walked over to my mom and dad with the baby in his arms.
"Meet Audrey Rosalie" Liam said carefully handing the baby to my mom
"She looks exactly what Rory looked like when she was a baby" my dad said. I saw Audrey open up her eyes and my mom and dad looked at each other.
"She has Evan eyes" my dad chuckles
"That's the only Evan thing she has" I giggle and take Liam's hand in mine.
"She's looks like a Payne" I giggle again
"She's tiny" my mom said
"She is" I say
"Have you fed her?"
"I actually just did, breastfeeding feels weird" I say
