Rain poured down smudging my perfectly applied makeup as Louise and I ran screaming to find shelter. It seemed everyone else had the same idea as all the cafés were full so we had to stand in a bus shelter laughing at how ridiculous this whole thing was.
"What do you want to do now?" Louise asked. The rain had finally stopped and we still had almost the whole day left before we had to head home. "Hey, what's going on over there? Everyone's in a line....I think they're waiting to meet someone. Come on it'll be fun." She smiled so we both got into the line. "Excuse me.....what are we waiting for?" I asked the young girl in front. She was wearing classic white converse with a marbled grey t-shirt which had 'Alfie Brightons my Deyes' printed on the front and was tucked into an above knee black skater skirt. "Alfie Deyes....that's what this quote is about." She laughed pointing to her t-shirt. "And Marcus Butler, he's my major celeb crush." Her friend added who was wearing the exact same outfit but with a screen shot of a young boy ( I'm guessing this guy Marcus ) instead do the Alfie quote.
We were nearly at the front of the queue now and I'd started to notice everyone had gifts for Alfie and Marcus. I told Louise and she asked me to save her space whilst she ran to the bin to grab a block of polystyrene. "We can make something out of this!" She suggested tearing it into little shapes.
"Hey guys!" The man with brown hair who introduced himself as Alfie said. "Umm...hi. We made you this!" Louise smiled, her cheeks flushed crimson as she thrusted the polystyrene model at him. "Thanks!" He smiled pulling me, Louise and Marcus into a group hug. "See you later." Marcus waved.
We stumbled away laughing and for a second I thought I saw Alfie look at me and I blushed furiously. "What's going on with you and that boy?" Louise teased poking me in the ribs with her French tipped nails. "Nothing!" I protested. "Ok, ok, I was only joking." Louise smiled. "Well don't....it's not funny!" I spat. "Zoe I'm really sorry." Louise apologised. "Sorry....I don't know what got into me. Just never say anything like that again ok!" I sighed. Louise nodded in agreement and instantly felt guilty....why had I reacted that way?
