Dressed in my new outfit with beautiful makeup done by my mum I started the car engine. It whirred peacefully as I backed out of the drive and started the long journey to Brighton. My very first date with Alfie. I wondered what we'd do, where we'd go. Was I to overdressed? To underdressed? Alfie wouldn't give anything away so when it had come to what to wear it'd been been difficult to say the least. I'd settled on a baby pink skater dress from Topshop with a white belt, a white daisy necklace and white lacy pumps.
I arrived at Alfie's parents feeling incredibly nervous and awkward. "Hi Zo!" Alfie exclaimed as he opened the door. "Hi.' I whispered blushing. This wasn't like me! I didn't blush around boys! What was going on?! "So where are we going?" I asked. Alfie laughed "You don't bother with small talk do you?" "Well you know I've only come back to Brighton for the beach not to see you so I didn't think it mattered."I joked feeling more like myself. "Ahhh well we're not staying in Brighton so if it's the tourist attractions your wanting you might need a different date." He sighed in mock disappointment. I looked at him scrutinising his goofy smirk to look for clues. "Well where are we going then?" I asked finally. "All in good time. The only clue you've got is that you'll need your suitcase. Did you bring it?" He replied smugly. I nodded. Why would I need a suitcase? Only Alfie Deyes would fly me to Australia on our first date.
I couldn't have imagined a more perfect date. Alfie had taken me to see Billy Elliot at the theatre and he'd even got seats near the exit so if I got a panic attack I could leave. "Thank you so much." I smiled. "Your very welcome." Alfie replied. "Did you enjoy it?" "I loved it! I'm so tired I may have to sleep the whole way home though." I warned him. "I already thought of that. We're going to stay in a hotel tonight." He explained. I stared at him in amazement....I had the worlds most amazing boyfriend. "Why else would you need a suitcase?" He reminded me. I'd totally forgotten about my suitcase even though it was in my hand.
We kissed at the entrance to my hotel room then parted so Alfie could go to his room. Alfie could be amazing but also very stupid as he'd accidentally booked me into a hotel room on the 5th floor and him one on the 1st. "Night gorgeous!" I called out. "Night ugly!" Alfie shouted jokingly then more seriously added "sleep well little one! If you need me I'm only like a million doors away so come and find me!"
