The wind smelled like hot iron. The house was painted red, my family was dead. Screams ricocheted across the city. Blood was being shed, people dying by the thousands.

My heart was racing a, dark, cloaked man was following me, staggering as if in pain. I ran into an dark alley way and hid behind a dumpster. I prayed my life be saved, silence..."The game of hide and seek is now over!" Said a deep, snake-like voice. Darkness, was flowing through my eyes, a tidal wave of death.

2 hours earlier...

I was sitting in my family's living room reading a book. It was a normal day in Maeliena city , the sun was shining, the sky was clear, and it was quiet. Too quiet, a gunshot rang. A body fell, blood spattered like an red paint bucket tipping over. Me and my family rushed toward our bunker beneath the house. "Stay here Misaki" my father said, he was shaking. "What is going on! Who is shooting!" I shouted, but my father was already gone. I fell to my knees, I looked over my mother and sister were asleep. What I felt like was a couple hours, was only a few minutes, I stood up. I looked toward the rest of my family.

My mother and sister Yuri, were dead. Somehow two dragon crystal daggers slipped by me, and aimed for their hearts. I had to get out of there, I'm going to die I thought as tears were running down my cheeks. I sneaked out of the bunker, I peeked through the door. Right in front of me lied my ,father, lifeless, pale, and dead. I was paralyzed, the most kind man, dead. A gun was laying in front of him, covered in unknown blood. It had a in graving on it, saying "be the change you want to see. Than I recognized it, it was my family's MaxCaliber. The gun created by one of the great elders. Containing Titanium bullets, it can hold 1 million rounds. It can also shoot Alchemy bullets, created with dimension magic. The most powerful and rare, weapon in the world. Which I am the holder of.

I pick up the gun, reload it, and walk out the bunker. The click of the lock was the only sound I heard. Bodies were everywhere, the once pale green walls were now stained red.

I was prepared to have a breakdown, shoot myself, and die. But I didn't, I continued walking through the house, checking for survivors. No one was alive. Walking outside, it was like walking through hell. The sky was red, fires were burning down homes, blood was the common sight. I see a shadow, I cautiously walk toward it, gun ready. Before I knew it I was in the spot where it was originally. Nothing, just darkness...I was confused what was that shadow. I went back to my temporary base. I had camped beneath a bridge, weapon beside me, clothes and other things I had found with minimal blood on them. The only light I had was my magic. A light blue light flooded over the dark landscape. Day and night were indistinguishable, the sky was mildly dark. I decided to take a quick walk, to search for things. I suddenly saw a boys body, no older than I was. I rushed over, maybe by the slightest chance, he was alive.

He was barley, his pulse was very faint. His clothes were torn, blood was covering him. I wiped the blood off his cheek. His eyes slightly opened, a sparkling green welcomed me. His eyes went wide. He shot up, most likely using all his strength. I looked at him, he was prepared for a fight, eyes wild like a fighting lion. "Who are you!" He shouted. "I am Misaki Orimura, I came to see if you were alive! I was not going to harm you!!" His arms lowered a bit, " I'm Raiden Takahashi,...can I trust you?" I said yes, crying because I was not alone anymore, I was with a new family! He told me about how he got there, two demons from hell rose through the surface and started attacking him. He was left for dead and later food for the demons. We both went back to my campsite, he got washed up and I gave him new clothes. " how long have you been here" he said. "Two years." That's right two years ago my family was murdered right before me, by some mysterious creature. "Wow, I've only been here six months, I was in a different city at the time this started, I came back because my mom was killed" "oh...I'm sorry." "It's okay" he said. I pulled out my gun, cleaning it. He pondered at the size of the gun. I was not bothered but something was disturbing about this scene, soothing I was missing. Then it all disappeared, Raiden, my camp, the world, was gone. I looked down, my shirt was covered in a mysterious liquid. The stench of metal swarmed in the air. I was covered in blood.
