(Holy shit I am the worst at scheduling but I'm finally back with the next chapter. This one took a bit cause I had to do a lot of recreating and editing but it is finally here! So without any further wait, here is Chapter 3 of The Seer. Enjoy! -Chris)
Damian carefully navigated his way through the dark and dusty tunnel's by listening to the girl's screams and cries. Eventually, he stopped in front of a vent opening. He looked through it and saw the girl strapped on to some kind of table. Damian then noticed the Good Doctor, who was washing two long needles. He then grabbed a large syringe from the table and smiled.
"Subject 73V, let's do a quick experiment," he said in a dark tone. He turned to her and Damian saw that he wasn't wearing his black mask that usually covered from his nose to is chin. But as soon as the young boy saw the scientist's face he realized why he always had it on. The man had no lips, just scarred shreds of flesh hanging in front of his eerily large smile. He took all his tools and placed them on a little stand next to the girl.
"I hypothesize that if I neutralize a human and insert two needles through certain points of its skull, that I can force out every bit of information that they know," he said as he picked up the shining syringe. "Now, let's test that and see if it's true," he hummed as he looked at the terrified crying girl.
Damian was mortified. He wanted to look away. Every part of his body itched to leave. His mind was screaming to run. But he couldn't, he was paralyzed. "Now I could kill you at this very moment. But unfortunately the brain can only survive for 3 minutes once the body dies. And since this is the first time I'm attempting this I can't follow through with the procedure that quickly," he murmured. "So instead... I'll put you in a coma and then try this procedure," he hummed as he put the needle into her arm and carefully squeezed the liquid out, letting it run through her bloodstream.
The girl struggled more, shrieking as the needle went into her flesh. Her screams grew weaker and went into quiet whimpers. Soon she went dead silent. Good Doctor smiled and removed the syringe from her skin. "Now we just..." he mumbled to himself as he took a few machines and wire them up on her.
"There. Now we do this..." Good Doctor mumbled under his breathe as he picked up a razor and turned it on. Swipe by swipe the girls hair slowly and gracefully fell onto the floor, soon piling up underneath. Good Doctor began singing a song under his breathe. Damian leaned a bit closer, trying to make out the words, but he couldn't. Good Doctor clutched the two needles and put on a menacing smile, before penetrating them into the girl's skull. The girl stirred a bit, but stayed still.
Good Doctor hummed as he inched the needles around her brain. The girl opened her mouth and Good Doctor' gaze turned to one of excitement. He pushed the needles slightly deeper in the area. Instead of coherent words coming out, blood began pouring out of her mouth. Good Doctor's eye twitched momentarily, but continued prodding different areas of the brain. But the more he rummaged around in her skull the more blood flowed out of her mouth, earning a groan from the scientist.
He the sighed. "Oh well," he mumbled as he snapped his fingers and Damian's mouth dropped open. Skeleton hands that were tinted a slight red color appeared around him. Two reached for a pencil and notebook while the other rummaged threw some cabinets. "Experiment #93310 was a failure. Subject 73V only received traumatic brain damage. Blood is pouring out of her mouth while in coma. Chance Of fully healing her.... 37%. Chance of long term survival.... 7.61%," he said in a monotone voice. He sighed as his third floating hand came back with a large knife. "It's been a pleasure," he hummed.
The knife came down in a flash. Damian watched in horror as her head fell to the ground in a slight splash. He needed to leave. He couldn't watch this anymore. He quickly turned around and crawled his way back. He came to the opening he came out of and looked through carefully. There were no guards. Everyone was still in groups huddled up. Damian quietly unscrewed the Vent and crawled out, screwing the cover back on and stumbled away from it. What just happen? What were those hands? Where did they come from? Why did they have a slight red glow to it? Why did Good Doctor do that? He felt a sudden wave of nausea come over him.
"Damian!" a voice called out. He looked up and saw Scott run over to him. "Dude where have you been?! We've been loo-... Hey, you ok?" He asked, now with worry lacing his voice. Damian could only reply with a quiet whimper. "Come on. Tyler and Louis are really worried," Scott said softly as he took Damian's hand and guided him over to them. Damian clung onto his arm, as if it were the only thing keeping him alive right now. Scott sent him a concerned glance, but kept walking.
"There he is!"
Damian looked up to see Tyler pointing at them and running over to them with Louis close behind.
"Damian! Are you ok? Where did you go? How could you sneak off like that?" Louis said in a completely worried voice as he hugged the small boy.
"I... I feel sick," Damian whispered in a quiet voice. The three looked at each other with a worried expression.
"Don't worry Dame. Scott will get you to bed where you can get plenty of rest," Tyler said softly as he glanced up at Scott. The redhead nodded and took Damian's hand once more.
"Come on, let's get to our cell." he murmured and guided the younger boy over. Scott soon brought Damian over to his sleeping area and let him lay down. He tucked the blue eyed boy in and ruffled his hair. Damian looked up at him in a slightly fearful expression, but drowsiness took over his body and he soon fell asleep. Scott then sighed and sent Damian one last glance, before walking out of the cell.
