ANYWAYS! here is the new chapter for The Seer. Enjoy~ Chris)
Damian walked around the dark abyss slowly. "H-Hello... Is anyone there?" he stuttered. Silence was his answer. He whipped his head to the left, then to the right. Nothing. There was no sign of life anywhere. So he kept moving. With each step anxiety intensified higher and higher in him. Soon, he came across a faint light. He started walking towards it, then walking turned to jogging, which turned to running. Suddenly Damian was full on sprinting towards the small bit of light. He then came to screeching halt and he looked at the faint source of light. There sat a man who looked to be nothing more than a shadow. He was pitch black and for some reason stood out more than the blackness around him.
The shadow-like man then turned around and to Damian's curiosity, saw a worn-out looking heart on his chest. It almost looks as if it were stitched on.
"Hello..." the creature said in a deep, yet quiet voice.
"U-Um... Hello. Do you know where we are?" Damian asked politely.
"We are in the Void..." the creature murmured.
"The Void?" Damian asked in confusion.
"Yes. The darkness, the space between heaven and hell, limbo, the mindscape. This pocket of space has many names little boy," he whispered. Damian went silent, pondering on what the creature had told him.
"Could you tell me more about this and yourself mister? My name is Damian by the way," the freckled boy said gently. The creature looked down at the boy for a few moments. Then nodded. He sat down, gesturing Damian to do the same. When the blue-eyed boy did, the creature's voice began to echo all around them.
"I do not go by a given name, like you humans do. I suppose you may call me Mavros. Anyways young one, do you understand who you are and the abilities you possess?" Mavros asked with his head slightly tilted.
"Abilities? YOu mean the experiments?" Damian asked quietly and curiously.
"Yes..." Mavros sighed quietly. "Damian. Do you understand what's happening?"
Damian shook his head with wide eyes. "N-No. I don't. Do you Mavros?" he asked the creature.
"All too well young one. Do you understand what Schizophrenia is?" he asked quietly, earning another look of confusion from the freckled boy. "It is a disease that the humans came up with. It is simply when you see and hear things that aren't there. But they are wrong," Mavros explained quietly, as if he was afraid someone would overhear them talking.
"How are they wrong?" Damian whispered to him.
"It is because what humans claim to not be there, are there. Their eyes aren't fully open. Their ears aren't completely listening," the shadow figure mumbled.
"W-Wait... What does all of that mean?" he asked curiously. He had found himself slowly leaning towards the creature in curiosity and interest.
"Damian. It is time for you to arise from your slumber," Mavros said hummed as he stood up.
"Wait! Mavros!" Damian cried out as he reached up for the creature that was not fading away into the darkness that surrounded both of them. Damian was reaching for the ceiling, a familiar one. He had woken up.
