Wilford P.O.V.
I was sitting in my normal spot in the cafeteria, drinking my tea when I heard the door open. That's odd. Once I walk in everybody leaves and doesn't come back in until I've left. I look up, and my jaw dropped.
I saw the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on walk in. She looked around, soon turning all of her attention towards me."Why hello!"
Her voice, by god, was sent from God himself. She sat down in front of me and held out her hand.
"My name is Brianna Guy, and I just moved in from Mobile Alabama. What's your name?"
I sat and stared for a moment. She just stood there, wearing a red and white pinstriped dress that went just past her knees. Over it, was an elbow length, beige overcoat that went down right above the end of her dress. She used a walking came with a cobra head and wore beige pantyhose. Her shoes were a shiny black wedges that showed the top of her foot, but what intrigued me the most was her top hat. I shook her hand.
"Wilford, Wilford Warfstache. Tell me, dear, where'd you get that hat?"
"My hat? Well, I didn't get it anywhere. I made it myself. I wanted it to be my most prized possession, and Lord knows I succeeded."
"It's exquisite my darling, truly amazing!"
"Wilford, I'd hate to cut your tea time short, but I need help. I could not, for the life of me, find my new house. Could you show me the way?"
Then she handed me a price of paper. Wait...This was the house next to mine. Well, that makes sense. No one lives within walking distance to me, and given her attire, I'd say she won't be very welcomed here.
"Of course darling! You live right next to me!"
She gave a great smile.
"Wonderful!"
Then she sat right down in front of me.
"That means I don't have to drag you from your tea time."
She pulled something from her large shoulder bag. How could I missed that? Oh well. It was long, thick string, and as soon as she pulled out two metal things I knew what she was doing. Knitting.
"To reward your kindness towards me, I want to knit you something Wilford."
"Oh, that's quite alright dear."
Her expression turned from enthusiastic to desperate.
"Oh, please. Anything! I'd feel horrible for taking up your precious tea time and give nothing in return!"
Such a delicate creature. Of course she'd want to give back if she has taken.
"Alright, if you insist. What are my options deary?"
"Anything you can think of!"
"A scarf, it gets rather chilly down here."
"What color?"
"Pink, if that's not to much trouble."
"Not at all!"
Then she began. Slowly knitting it, making sure to make no mistake. It was a beautiful sight. Seeing her so caught up in her work. 4 hours later, she was still working, but we had to leave, due to the fact the sun was setting, and I didn't walk her home in the dark.
"Darling, we should get going now. The sun is setting, and you need your rest. You look absolutely exhausted."
I swear, I saw her jump in her seat.
"Oh! I'm so sorry Wilford, I had no idea."
"Did you drive here?"
"Heavens, no. I flew down and walked the rest of the way. I haven't driven an automobile in over 3 years. They scare the living daylights out of me."
"You must be worn out dear! Let me walk you home."
And so she grabbed my forearm, and I led her to her house, right next to mine, before we exchanged our goodbyes and good night's.
"Will I see you tomorrow?"
She asked me politely.
"Of course dear."
And then she turned around and closed her door, leaving me to walk home. As I settled down in my bed, wearing nothing but my boxers, I fell asleep thinking about her beautiful voice.
