Wilford P.O.V.

Once I woke up and did my morning stretches, I looked out and saw Brianna. She was outside in a beige dress, just below knee length, a red and white pinstriped overcoat. She looked just like yesterday, except switched. Beige dress, pinstriped overcoat, white pantyhose, and black wedges. Her hair looked shiny in the sunlight, and she had a pink ribbon in her hair. She was sitting in her rocking chair knitting when she looked at me. Her face lit up like a bulb and she grabbed something from besides her before running up to my house. I opened the door and there she stood.

"Here! I made this just for you!"

Then she handed me a small box that was tied in a tight blue bow. I took it from her hands and gently untied the bow. I opened the box and saw a pink scarf. I looked up and smiled. It was beautiful. Almost as beautiful as her.

"Did you stay up last night making this?"

I asked, not wanting her to lose her sleep.

"Maybe...But I really-"

"Darling! It's unhealthy to lose to much sleep! But, thank you. It's lovely."

She smiled up at me before she looked down and started blushing like crazy.

"What's wrong?"

"Wilford, go get dressed please."

I looked down and saw I was still in my boxers. Now it was my turn to blush like crazy.

"Y-yes! I should get dressed, shouldn't I? Come in, have a seat, please!"

I let her in my home and quickly shut the door.

"I'll be right back, sit anywhere."

Then I ran upstairs to get dressed, because me being me, I forgot. I looked through my closet and put on my beige shirt, kakis, my suspenders, and my dress shoes.

"There we go!"

Then I walked back downstairs to see Brianna knitting on the couch.

"I see you love to knit."

I saw her jump and drop her cloth.

"Sorry dear, I didn't mean to startle you."

"It's quite alright Wilford."

She began picking it up and putting it away.

"I want to know, would you like to spend time together today?"

Oh, you have no idea.

"That sounds amazing dear, I'd love to!"

She smiled, for a moment, but it soon disappeared.

"Wilford...Are you my friend?"

"Of course! Your wonderful, and I'm lucky to have you as a friend."

She gave a small smile, but it didn't look genuine.

"Dear, what's wrong?"

I sat next to her, confused on why her happy demeanor vanished all of a sudden.

"It's just, I haven't had a real friend in a while, and last time I did, they tricked me. They embarrassed me in front of probably the whole city. That's why I'm here."

"So you ran away from your problems?"

"I couldn't face it alone. I know, it was pretty stupid of me."

"No, it wasn't. One woman isn't strong enough to take on a whole city when she's at her weakest point, but there's always a way to bring her back up to her strongest points."

"Really? Because I need a little help here."

She looked like she was about to start sobbing, right here.

"I-I'm sorry for wasting your time, I should probably go."

"No, you can stay. Tell me, what's bothering you."

She tried to walk away, but I quickly grabbed her arm and turned her to face me, and that was her breaking point. She began sobbing on my chest as I comforted her.

"W-why are people s-so mean?! I n-never did a-anything!"

Her sobs were tearing my heart into pieces.

"Shh...It's okay dear. I'm here."

Then she stood up straight and wiped her eyes with her hand.

"I'm so sorry Wilford, I don't know what came over me."

She chuckled nervously.

"It's okay darling, everyone needs to let it out sooner or later. Just know, I'm here for you."

And before I knew it, I was leaning in to kiss her. What was even crazier, was she was too.
