Stronger Than You (Graylu)

The Battle of Fairy Tail-Part 2

"So my queen deck was too much for the supposed Queen of the Fairies then? It really shows how pathetic you all are" Cana said spitefully.

"Pathetic? You're forgetting that you were one of us. And you still are! We would never abandon you over something like this." The voice came out strong and determined, yet it didn't belong to the great Erza Scarlet. Instead it came from a foot or two behind her out of the mouth of the shy little blue haired girl who reminded Cana of her master. That was until he showed his true form as lord Zeref. The tug on her heart went unnoticed, but I assure you, it was there.

Cana simply rolled her eyes in response to the girl and prepared an attack. "If you couldn't handle the queen, you should try the king on for size" she chuckled, pulling out another small deck that was emitting a bright red-ish light. She threw the deck and the colour circled the pair. Erza re-quiped into her Japanese Cloth Armour and managed to cut down two of the cards in mid air into two perfect halves. However she didn't have enough time as the rest attached themselves to each of their bodies, causing excruciating pain to wrack their nerves. They slowly recovered and Cana let them do so, as if she wanted her prey to be able to fight back.

"Re-quip: Robe of Yuen" Erza called as Wendy supported her from a few steps behind. She swung her large axe as Cana quickly dodged the attack and produced a card. She wielded back for another swing but was stopped by a single card which held her sword in place, seemingly not phasing Cana who kept it up with ease. So Erza knelt down, swing in a 360 and aiming her sword at Cana legs, once again stopped by the same small rectangle.

"How?" She questioned, shocked at her opponents speed and strength.

"Well you see" Cana began casually. "This card is made of the strongest metal in the world" She said showing the one in her hand. "This one improves my strength" She looked pointedly at the one Erza had seen that was stuck to her arm. "And this one improves my speed" She said as Erza noticed one on her chest.

"Your magic is certainly resourceful Erza, but it would be far more useful if you could combine the abilities your armors give you together."

"Hmph" Erza said grumpily as she swug her axe once more only to be stopped again. This time when Cana stopped the card she grabbed the axe by its hilt and slowly bent it backwards  into a perfect right  angle without taking her eyes off Erza. Erza's eyebrows furrowed together as she tried to not show how intimidated she felt. This wasn't the way this was supposed to work. Erza had always been the intimidating one, she had always had control. It scared her, Cana  scared her. Her power was incredible, her magic was not only effective but versatile, ready for anything, she was willing to bet Cana  had a card to counteract every one of her armors, and to beat her  for good measure. And what about the others? There was certainly more in Zerefs army than there were in Fairy Tail, and Juvia was apparently just as powerful as Cana. And then there was Lucy. Erza stole a glance at her comrade who seemed to be simply toying with the three most powerful wizards in Fairy  Tail. There was so much more about the girl that she felt she was missing. Her power had changed beyond just the star dresses, she had seen her perform one of the spells. How could her  power have increased so drastically. She had always only just kept up with the rest of team Natsu, it was to be expected having joined the guild so much later than  everyone else. The boost in power was far to great  to be considered normal. Is was Lucy that scared her more than anything, because she didn't know what she could hit them with, and she certainly didn't like not knowing. 

Stealing a glance was a bad move in battle, Erza knew this better than anyone. She was pushed backwards, hurdling into Wendy who toppled over clumsily.

"She's too powerful for us combined" Erza whispered in Wendy's ear as she pretended to fall when getting up. "If we're gonna beat her we have to outsmart her."
