Chapter 3: What The Fuck Happened?
Deejay...
"Those are my children!!" I snapped to officer as they entire crime scene was taped off, well including the entire alley way with all these children filled in it. Dream called me in panic about an hour ago talking about Nick had fell from the top of this building. They wasnt even suppose to be there, they lied to us. Tried to fool us. As they covered the body with a yellow covering I knew Nick was dead. Such, a nice young man.
"Sir, I know what you mean. All these parents out here want their children. However, this party was not suppose to happen and no permits for the alcohol inside. They will all be loaded up and taken down to the station for questioning. So everyone will have to report to Weldon County Police Station to pick up their children." He explained to Oliander, my self, and all the other parents out there behind the tape with us. We walked off towards the car and Rico finally realized what the hell was going on. He hadnt spoke a word since we left the house.
"I am about to beat the bricks off of Dream. She knows the fuck better." He scolded as we hopped into his Jeep.
"Lets be clear, O.J was out there. I seen him in the crowd. He getting that ass tapped too...Hell Marckus as well. I dont give a fuck got me out here so fucking late at night. I can kill those kids." He shot me a look and said, "I dont think you should be using such language. We just seen Nick laid out dead." I rubbed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Cheryl and Matt are about to go fucking nuts. I could only imagine." I said as I sat back and watched the rod as we rode off to the Station.
Dream...
"I am telling you, I dont know anything. I was outside with my foster brother in the alley and the body came flying down and splattered on the floor--" I broke down in tears and cried out, "Ni-Ni-Nick is dead. That kid does nothing to anybody. Heck, I dont even know how he is friends with my little brother."
"Your little brother? Whats his name?" The Officer asked me. I exhaled, "O.J Cartina."
"Is his official name, O.J?" He asked me. I rubbed my eyes and snapped, "No it isnt, but he goes my by O.J. And can I go please."
"Yep, one last thing....I have asked everyone I have interviewed, but I want to know this. Who threw this party." He asked me. I took a deep breath and told the honest truth.
"I dont know. These parties are said to been happening well before we got to Deaton High. If you are invited you get an email of the location 24 hours before--" He cut me off and told the rest as if he needed me to tell him.
"Its usually only Juniors and Seniors, however some freshman and sophomores where there." He told me. My hands started to shake and I said, "Yup...he didnt suppose to even come." The door opened and My Dad came charging in.
"Are you charging my client with anything?" He asked the officer.
"No we--" The officer barely can get another word out before my Dad snapped, "Dream, lets go." I stood up and followed him out of the room.
"Go wait in the waiting area with your Pops and Marckus, as I find your little brother. He didnt even care that I was crying my eyes out. I just seen my bestfriend little brother die. Gio, must be going thru it. I know my Dad was mad I lied, but damn show some care. I walked thru the crowd of people and heard someone call my name. I turned around and seen Gio with his parents. I ran over to them and embraced him. He fell limp in my arms.
"Dream, I cant-I cant believe my brother is dead. Like he isnt coming back. I want be able to hear him nagging me to get up and play Xbox with him....I was suppose to watch him." He cried out as I seen Mr.Lawne consoling his wife Cheryl. These are good people, I mean great people. I rubbed my bestfreind back and told him, "The police will find out what happened."
