Epilogue: Until Next Year.

6 Months Later.

Deejay...

"Dad, I dont care. This is your second time this month passing out. You need to retire." I scolded at my Dad as we was parked in the driveway of his house. He have been over-working the fuck out of himself. And now its finally catching up to the old guy. He rubbed his face and said, "Deejay, Im fine. Stop worrying about me." He opened the door and said, "See you at the renewal dinner." He told me as he stood outside the car and put his coat on. It was the first week of november and it was already getting cold. The renewal dinner he is talking about is when Rico and I are renewing our vows. Its going to be a special day tomorrow. I waved him off and drove off. As I turned up the radio the weather lady said it will be stormy weather with a 8O% chance of rain. I turned the shit back down, bitch mother nature wont ruin this.

I turned onto the highway and the smell of the Krispy Kreme doughnuts laying across the backseat smelt too damnn goood. I leaned back and opened one of the 7 boxes. Yes, 7. My children are addicted to these shits like I was growing up. Speaking if my children I needed to call Dream. I quickly picked up my phone and turned on the bluetooth. I spoke into the car.

"Call Dream."

"Hey, Dad" She said all sweet. She have been being extra nice so I would say yeah to her growing on the Senior Trip to Cancun Mexico In 3 weeks. After they get back in school after Thanksgiving Break. She is a good child and already been accepted until 5 colleges, but Howard still havent replied back to her and thats where she really wanna go. I cant believe this is finally happening. I have a child graduating....jeez.

"Are you home yet?" I asked.

"Yeah. Just walked into the door." She told me.

"Good. Take turn those oxtails down on 4. I was cooking before the hospital called to come get your grandfather. He fell out again."

"Again!! He needs to chill." She told me as she didnt know I knew that.

"Where are the boys?" She asked.

"D wanted to go ice skating and welll Rico, Oscar and all of them went." I told her.

"Including O.J?" She asked, surprised. O.J has been in a slump since bomb got dropped on us 3 months ago that Raina was 4 months pregnant. And she was not getting an abortion, her parents were pissed but they are religious and wasnt having it. Hell, we didnt want that either, but its her body. So Rico and I have been trying to whip him into shape. He isnt liking that at all. So now have a 6 month pregnant girlfriend and as times nears he is scared...he just doesnt want to admit it. And Rico is really bringing the hammer down on him.

Rico...

"How the hell you cant tie your brother skates? You are about to have a son of your own..you dont think he is--" O.J sucked his teeth and quickly skated off from D. I bent over and tied his skate. Oscar laughed, "Stop, bro. Lil man gets it. You are going to scare his ass off."

"Im just being hard on him. Im over being mad about it. In three months, my grandson will be here. You cannot cry over spoiled milk. I just want him to know we arent going to turn this baby into one of ours. Its his responsibility." I explained to Oscar. He lit up the joint and pulled. As he blew spoke he replied, "I feel you." We skated off and we watched Frankie chase Olly around the ice.
